Road Dept: Spring Hollow Bridge project: The crew successfully moved the old (built 1867) wooden grain bin that was in the way of the new road to its new location selected by the land owner. The crew started by building a new floor and bracing up the inside, then shored up the outside with logs and tie down straps, then put four logs under it so it could be skidded to the new loca tion. The bin was moved to its new location with an excavator. The crew and the driller then began to work on the new road south of the bridge site. The pilings for the south bridge abut ment have been driven in place. They are currently working on welding steel caps on those pilings and leveling the ground around the pilings so the concrete forms and rebar for the abutment can be installed. They have been working on the road on the north side of the bridge, getting it to sub grade, as well as excavating out for the bridge abutment on the north side o f the new bridge.
