Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, August 31,2011 Oregon Parks and Recreation Department plans hearing on proposed Heppner bikeway The O regon P ark s and R e c re a tio n D epartm ent (O PR D ) is conducting hearings on several proposed bikeways, including the proposed Blue M ountain Century scenic bikeway route which passes through Heppner and Ukiah, on Wednesday, September 14, from 5-6 p.m. at the Heppner City Hall, 111 North Main St. Besides The Blue Mountain Century bikeway, others include the Old West Bikeway, passing through John Day and Monument, The McKenzie Pass, The Metolius Loops and The Sisters to Smith Rock State Park. Oregon State Police was advised. -MCSO received report of an unlawful business op eration in Irrigon. • -MCSO twice attempted contact with Heppner sub jects, but a neighbor ad vised they were going to be gone for two weeks. - THREE -MCSO received report from a motel employee in Boardman that a man who checked in the previ ous night was under du ress regarding a break-up and was acting strangely, possibly under the influ ence o f something. The man said, in front of mul tiple people, that he felt like killing someone. The subject walked in with no vehicle. -MCSO cited Maricela Madgrigal Mendoza, 36, for Violation of the Basic Rule. -MCSO received report of an injured bird at the Irri gon skate park.
