SIX - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, August 3,2011 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office reports handling the fol lowing business: M a y 28 ( c o n t ) : found the ignition to the vehicle had been punched. UCSO would like MCSO to attempt contact with the vehicle’s owner to find out who has the vehicle. -MCSO received a report that four kids were opening the door to a build ing on Main Street in Hep pner and going in and out. Some o f her coworkers said the kids might be there for a graduation party. MCSO responded and was unable to locate anyone at the scene. M ay 29: -BPD is sued a citation to Edgar Sanchez, 35, for driving 40 mph in a 25 mph zone and no operator’s license. -BPD officer made contact with a female sub ject at the Boardman Shell. She advised that her boy friend stole money from her in Portland and she would like help finding him. -MCSO was ad vised that Oregon State Police in Milton Freewater arrested Antonio Ruiz, 31, on a warrant for failure to pay fine/driving while suspended. The subject was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO issued a citation to David Andrew Gardner, 40, for violating the speed limit by driving 85 mph in a 65 mph zone. The subject also received a verbal warning for failure to obtain an Oregon driv ers license. The subject has been living in Oregon for four months. GneatjBuy! ^ im u tN i May 3 1 : -M CSO arrested a 33-yer-old male subject for criminal trespass II. The subject was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report that the caller had a pit bull outside that did not belong there. The caller said the dog was not friendly and that they would like someone to come pick it up. The owner went and got the dog. -A MCSO deputy at tempted to catch a blue heeler mix running down Main Street in Heppner. -MCSO received a trespass notice from a caller who said he caught some kids riding four-wheelers on his farm just north of the Bombing Range. He has their informa tion and wants a deputy to talk to them. -M C S O w as in formed that someone found a handgun in the forest near M edicine Butte. A UCSO -MCSO deputy was out at a residence regard ing a possible illegal bum. Spoke to the home owner and warned them about burning illegal material and that they needed to keep their dog in the yard. Dog was a small black dog. -MCSO gave Sam uel Navarette Pinto, 18, a verbal warning for illegal use o f nonstandard lighting for headlights. Subject ve hicle had blue headlights. -MCSO received a call advising that sub jects were burning on Sixth Street in Irrigon. He said it was ruining his Sunday and wanted to know if MCSO gave them permission to bum. Dispatch advised the caller that, if he felt they were illegally burning, the Irrigon fire chief could be informed, but that it was a bum day. The ju venile was transferred to the hospital. -M C S O w as i n formed that Wallowa Coun ty Sheriff’s Office arrested Jorge Alvarez Rivera, 32, on a M orrow C ounty C ircuit Court warrant for failure to appear/unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine and pos session o f methamphetamine. The subject was release under his own recog nizance to appear in court. He was also issued a citation for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. -BPD issued a cita tion to Clemente Aispuro An gulo, 57, for disobeying a traf fic control device and almost causing a traffic collision. -BPD issued a cita tion to a 45-year-old male subject for disobeying a traf fic control device and almost causing a collision. June 2: -BPD officer has a miniature pinscher. Dog was returned to its owner. - BPD received a re port that a female was hit by a forklift and was complaining of abdominal pain. -B PD re c e iv e d a complaint that a large pit bull was barking and growling at kids. The dog went back home and the owner was given a warning for dog at large. The owner was told to get his dog licensed and vaccinated. -BPD received a re port that a small white car and a small maroon car were in the back parking lot of the baseball field, speeding and squealing their tires. -MCSO received a report of attempted fraud over the phone. A deputy contacted the reporter and determined that the caller had been a pushy salesman. -M C SO serv ed a Morrow County Circuit Court restraining order. -MCSO received a report from a driver who said he had hit a dog on Kunze near Miller in Boardman. The dog limped back to a residence; the caller was afraid to go and notify the owners because they have 12 dogs there. The sergeant will make contact with the residence. -MCSO issued a cita tion to Valentin Lomas-Med- ina, 77, for failure to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk. -A M CSO deputy received a report o f a mail box that was damaged. The deputy found a mailbox that was crushed, probably hit by a vehicle. -MCSO received a call from a woman who said there were two gas trucks parked by her residence; she was afraid it was unsafe. The trailer has an emulsion and is not a hazard, but will be moved. -A MCSO deputy re moved a board with nails from Bombing Range Road. -A M CSO deputy received a report of a silver Lincoln Navigator speeding on the south end o f Main Street in Heppner. The mother of the juvenile was told about the bad driving habits and will speak to her son. -MCSO received a call that four juveniles were jumping on one of the benches at the Irrigon Skate Park and broke it. They left but two were coming back. June 4: -A BPD dep uty was out at a trailer park with a bunch o f kids and gave the kids stickers. -MCSO arrested Har old Tice Bums, 40, on a DUII charge. Subject was cited and released. -MCSO received a call that a black heifer and brown calf were out at High way 207 and Porcupine Lane. An officer made contact with the owner, who said they would take care of it. -MCSO received a report of a white female with two children; the children were very dirty, and the caller said they looked like they hadn’t bathed and that he could smell them as soon as they walked out of the store. A deputy made contact and determined the children were a little dirty, but nothing unusual for kids that age and under no threat of harm. -Continued on PAGE EIGHT
