FOUR - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, October 13,2010 DA’s Second annual Hall of Fame for lone High School held On Saturday, Oc tober 2, the community of lone celebrated the in duction of 51 outstanding students, teachers, 1960 winning state champion football team and coaches. This year’s ceremony took in the years 193 5 to 1970.1 n 2009 there were 52 induct ees from 1922 to 1960. The Hall of l ame is to honor outstanding individuals who, through their exceptional achieve ments have brought honor to themselves, lone High School, and the lone com munity. The lone Cardi nal Booster Club sponsors this event. Nominations are accepted from January through June each year. The selection committee re views and recommends the list to the Cardinal Booster Club and the Board of Di rectors. Hall of Fame mem bers are inducted in the fall following their elec tion. R e p o rt The Morrow Coun ty District Attorney’s Office has released the following report: -Robert Edward Flanagan, 35, was convict ed of Attempt to Commit a Class C/Unclassified Felo ny - Possession of Meth, a Class A misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 90 days incarceration with 90 days suspended, two years bench probation, complete 32 hours of community service, other conditions, and pay $738 in fines, fees, and assessments. -Marion Taylor III, 50, was convicted of As sault in the Fourth Degree, a Class A misdemeanor, and was sentenced to one year incarceration and other conditions. Taylor was also convicted of Harassment, a Class B misdemeanor. -Andrey Vasilovich Kleymenov, 32, was con victed of Possession of Her oin, a Class B felony, and was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, 90 sanction units with 30 jail units, other conditions, and pay $1,763 in fines, fees, and assessments. The first orienta tion meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, October 28, at 7 p.m. at the Morrow County Extension Office. Struthers would like to limit the group to six members (4th through 10,h grade) for this year, although the size of the group could be expanded if demand and community support warrant it. The club will try to organize a public demonstration launch for late October/early Novem ber if weather permits. The 4-H Rocketry program will entail some serious commitment on the part of both parents and youth, in keeping with all 4-H activities. The club currently has considerable funds to get started, but do nations will certainly be ap preciated. A ‘Launch Box’ will be available to new members for $50; this pack age includes three rocket kits, motors, construction tools and supplies, as well as launch supplies and a rugged plastic storage box.
