SIX - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, November 25, 2009 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County SheritY's Office reports han dling the following busi ness: August 29:-MCSO received report that Uma tilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua Paul Jones, 24, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine-Driving While Suspended violation. Fie was lodged at Um atilla County Jail with S1498 bail in full. -MCSO received a report of an audible burglar alarm and a fire alarm at GD’s in Heppner. Dispatch contacted the business and a subject at the restaurant reported he set the alarm off. A deputy responded and confirmed it was a false alarm due to employee er ror. -MCSO received request for a deputy to respond to an Irrigon resi dence due to a barking dog. A deputy responded, but no one was home, so he left a card. -MCSO received report of a deceased deer in the bam at a Heppner resi dence. A deputy responded to make sure the animal was picked up. Oregon State Police picked up the deer carcass. -MCSO received report from a Boardman resident that her neighbor’s two German Shepherds that had previously killed her chickens were in her yard. -MCSO received report that tenants in Irrigon who had been evicted were trying to take the gates that were permanently affixed. A deputy advised them they could not remove the gates. -MCSO received report of a domestic dispute in progress at Bull Prairie near Heppner. -MCSO received report of a young woman in Irrigon, wearing shorts, but no shirt, and carrying a tod dler, backing away from a residence and screaming at a male to leave them alone. The male grabbed her and dragged her back into the residence. MCSO arrested Vince Monroe Armstrong, 23. for Reckless Endanger ing, Domestic Harassment, Interfering with a Report, Disorderly Conduct 11, Kid napping II, and Domestic Menacing. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $69,500 bail. -MCSO received report from a female subject that the fire she had burn ing was still burning. She advised there was a burning ban in effect at the time. -MCSO received report of people drinking alcohol out on the street in front of the Odd Fellows Hall in Heppner. -MCSO received report from an lone subject that one of his steers had been shot. Another subject also reported some of his steers shot. OSP was ad vised and was going to let the game trooper know. -MCSO, BPD re ceived report from a Board- man woman that her daugh ter may have been at an M1P party. -MCSO, BPD re ceived report of a drunk driver in the parking lot of the mobile home court in Boardman. -BPD received re port of toilet paper thrown all over a fence a truck and the road. -BPD officer re ported he was out at Sam B oardm an E lem en tary School on foot. -BPD received re quest for officer contact from a subject so he could get his vehicle out of im pound. OPEN HOUSE -BPD received re quest for assistance for a male subject who had fallen and needed help getting back to bed. -Heppner Ambu lance received report from an lone subject who needed help getting up. The subject didn’t have any injuries. August 30: Mor row County Sheriff’s De partment, Heppner Fire De partment received report of a non-injury motor vehicle accident in Heppner. The vehicle had run off the road. The driver was warned for carelessness. -MCSO received report of screaming and hollering in Heppner. Some one was upset because the babysitter left. -MCSO received report that Deschutes Coun ty Sheriff’s Office arrested Edd Dwight Reese, 51, on a warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Driving While Sus pended. He was lodged at Deschutes County Jail with $570 bail. -MCSO received report that a horn in a ve hicle had been honking for the last 15 minutes in Ir rigon. A deputy responded and was unable to locate anything. -MCSO received report of a male subject driving all over the road on Hwy. 730/1-84. -MCSO, Boardman Police Department received report from a Boardman man who said he and his girlfriend were fighting, but it was not physical at the time. -Boardman Police Department received re port that a male subject violated a restraining order between him and the report er’s mother. The restraining order had expired. -BPD received re port of a dead cat in the road on Columbia Ave./ Olson Rd. A code officer responded and the cat had been removed. -Irrig o n A m b u lance received report from THURSDAY DECEMBER 3 COME DOWN TO SHOP & ENJOY THE LIGHT PARADE lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that her son’s bike was stolen in Hermiston. -MCSO received report o f a red Ford Ex plorer going over 90 mph and driving erratically. -MCSO received report of a code violation at an Irrigon location. The violation was for junk and debris on the property. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that she believes her neighbor moved, but left a cat. A dog was already taken from the residence. A deputy responded and de termined that the owner was coming daily and giving the cat food and water and the subjects had not completely moved out yet. -MCSO received report of dogs barking con stantly in Heppner. The complainant said he had talked to the owners and they would not do anything about it. -MCSO received report from a subject in Ir rigon that she was bitten by a dog as she was walking home from school. The bite broke through the skin with a little bleeding, but mostly bruising. -MCSO received request for a deputy from a man regarding a car title. -Boardman Police Department received report from a Boardman wom an that her mother-in-law keeps calling her. She said she called law enforcement in Alaska, but they advised her she needed to contact her local police. An offi cer contacted her and she advised she didn’t want to do anything legally at the time. -BPD received re port of a large pool of water that continued to grown. -BPD received re port of an unknown prob lem which was difficult to determine because the caller was a Spanish speaker. He decided to take her to the hospital himself. -Heppner Ambu lance received report from a Heppner subject that a fe male was unconscious. She was reported to respond by grunts and head movement, but was unable to move her left arm. She pointed to her heart when asked what hurt. The patient was trans ported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital. -B oardm an Am bulance received report of a male having difficulty breathing. August 31: Mor row County SherifF s Office received report of a dog barking all night long in Heppner. -MCSO received report from a Heppner man that his wife had fallen and he needed help getting her up. -MCSO received report o f a steer out in Heppner. The owner was contacted and he was en route. MCSO received report from an lone woman that her son was involved in an accident in lone. A deputy responded and con tacted both parties and sev eral witnesses. Susan Marie Kendrick, 49, was cited for Driving Uninsured. -MCSO received report from a Boardman woman that a dog was in her yard killing her chick ens. A deputy responded and caught the dog which was transported to Pet Res cue. -MCSO received a request for assistance in identifying a subject who possibly had a warrant out of Morrow County. A depu ty responded and confirmed that the subject was wanted by MCSO. Oregon State Police arrested Alfredo Diaz Cortez, 42, on an Ir rigon Justice Court Warrant for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument. The report was taken. -BPD received re port of a female in a parking lot causing a disturbance. One of the woman’s super visors was going to take her home. The subject was off her meds. -BPD received re quest for a welfare check from the caller’s daughter. -B PD re c e iv e d report from a very upset woman that she was con cerned about her 15-year- old son. The officer made contact. BPD arrested Louis Ann Hibbitts, 42, for Crimi nal Mischief II and Resist ing Arrest. She was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $12,000 bail. The subject was also in violation of her probation. MCSO assisted. -Boardm an A m bulance responded to a residence where a female was tazed. The subject re fused being checked out and transported. -Heppner Ambu lance transported a patient to Pendleton. -Irrig o n A m bu lance received report of a subject having difficulty breathing. There was no transport. S e p t e m b e r 1: Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received report of a blue or black Jetta driving around Heppner and play ing music really loud at all hours of the day. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon sub ject that a German Shepherd ran after his daughter in a vicious way and believed it was going to attack her. The girl was put safely on the bus and the owner warned for keeping a dog at large. -MCSO received report of two male sub jects with shotguns in the Parkside and Canal area. The subjects were dove hunting with valid hunting licenses. -MCSO received request for deputy contact from a woman who said a subject had her motor home in the Heppner area, but was not making payments. -MCSO received request for extra patrol on Hwy. 730/First Street in Ir rigon due to heavy traffic of students traveling too fast during the lunch hour. -MCSO received report o f an 80-year old male in Irrigon, uncon scious. -MCSO received request for deputy contact from a woman in Heppner regarding her daughter. -MCSO received report o f smoke coming from the back of the trailer pulled over to the side of the road on 1-84. -MCSO received report o f suspicious ac tivity in Irrigon with an unknown male reported on the caller’s porch and some cigarettes missing. -MCSO received report of small kids walking on the highway on 1-84. A deputy was unable to locate any children walking on or near the highway. -MCSO received report of someone shooting a shotgun and the pellets hitting the caller’s house and motor home. The caller did not believe they were shooting at her house on purpose, but rather just careless. -MCSO received report from a woman that she was selling her trailer, but the buyer quit making payments and then took off. The trailer was a Gulf Stream motor home, possi bly en route to Albany, OR, or California. -MCSO received report of yelling at a resi dence and a male trying to take children.
