HHS Booster Club annual meeting date changed Gingerbread House challenge deadline Nov. 21 By DAVID SYKES REALTO R ADVERTISING ONLY ONE FACTOR When a real estate agency markets your home, only one o f several marketing strategies is advertising. Don’t make the mistake o f thinking that one office which advertises your house three times a week is doing a better job than one that advertises it once a week. There are two types o f adver tising formats: classified and display. A classified ad is a line ad and a display ad is an advertisement containing both a picture and description. The cost o f a single display ad can often equal the cost o f dozens o f classified ads. Also, which newspaper the ad is in is very important. A classified ad in a large, metropolitan newspaper will often be more expensive than a display ad in a local, weekly paper. Never compare an agency on the frequency o f its adver tising your property. Other marketing means may be even more effective. At Sykes Real Estate, I advertise the proper ties, but SELLING them is MORE important. Property listings are available at h ’ h ’ h >. sykesrealestate. net 188 W. Willow • P.O.
