Sealed bids for the Re-Roof o f the County Court House project located at 100 Court Street in Heppner, OR. will be received by the Morrow' Coun ty Public Works Department, at 365 W. Hwy 74, P.O. Box 428, Lexington, OR. 97839, by 4:00 p.m. Local time on September 23, 2008. The bids will be publicly opened and read at Morrow County Court located at 100 Court Street in Heppner, OR. at 9:45 a.m. local time on September 24, 2008. The County may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding o f the County that it is in the public interest to do so. The bidder must be registered with the Construction Contractors Board. BOL1 rules and regula tions will apply to this project. Work consists of, but may not be limited to, the following estimated unit cost quantities: • Provide Necessary build ing permits; • Provide Morrow County with twenty-year workman ship warranty; • Remove existing roof, clean area, haul away all de bris. All roofing removal and debris disposal to be done in accordance with all state, local, and federal asbestos abatement regulations; • Any structural repairs deemed necessary by building code or manufacturer warran ty standards to be done; • Install 30 lbs felt; • Install #1 Cedar Shingles; • Install custom manufac tured edge metal, metal w- valley, pipe flashing and metal vents; • Properly flash all rood penetrations; and • Install a Firestone .060 TPO 20 year roof system in the built in gutters, and on the flat roof deck in the back of the courthouse. • Install and Paint all neces sary gutters. This is a Morrow County Public Works Project and funded with Morrow County funds. A bid bond in the amount o f 10% of the bid amount is required with the proposal. Performed and Payment Bonds in the amount o f the contract bid amount will be required of the successful bidder. The County will award the contract within twenty (20) calendar days o f the bid opening. Work will commence within five (5) calendar days o f the notice to proceed. The contractor shall complete all work required in the contract within 280 Calendar days of the stated date in the notice to proceed. All work must be completed by whatever Court decides. Hwy 74 in Lexing ton from 10-2 and again on Sunday, September 21s1, at North End Transfer Sta tion, 69900 Frontage Ln. in Boardman from 10-2. Morrow County is holding the event in con junction with the Oregon Department of Environmen tal Q uality (DEQ). DEQ funds the event through landfill disposal fees. Com m on item s to be collected include aero sol cans, antifreeze, engine cleaners, fluorescent tubes, herbicides, household bat teries, mercury products, m otor o il, p ain ts, p e sti cides, solvents, therm om eters, weed killers and wood preservatives. These items should be kept in their origi nal containers if possible. Persons should not bring waste items such as explo sives or products that con tain radioactive waste, such as smoke detectors. All collected materi als w ill be handled by a state hazardous waste contrac tor. Eve can be seen weeding at the memorial park and trimming roses for many people in town. Deputy was unable to lo cate. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Lex ington that her laptop was stolen from her bedroom. -BPD received a re port from that a vehicle was stolen within the last 30 m inutes. Vehicle was located. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Ir rigon that his girlfriend, who he was in the process o f breaking up with, is at his residence stealing and breaking stuff. Caller also reports that he has been as saulted several times. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Herm- iston that her husband went through her purse and threw everything on the floor. -MCSO received a report from a deputy an inci dent for illegal dumping. -BPD arrested Jose Mora Rodriguez, 38, on a Umatilla County Warrant. -MCSO served a w arrant to Nolan Brice Brock, 48. The subject was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO issued a ci tation to Patricia C. Mar tinez, 32, for disobeying a traffic control device. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Ir rigon that the house he just moved out o f had been bro ken into. -MCSO issued a ci tation to Christopher Ronald Bowman, 26. for violation o f the basic rule o f 74 mph in a 55 mph speed zone. -Irrigon Ambulance responded to a call in which a male subject was having a seizure. -BPD received a re port from a caller that a male subject was falling asleep w hile driving and has almost hit several cars. Call was referred to Oregon State Police. -BPD received a call from an apartment manager that a tenant had thrown a hammer another tenant. -BPD issued a cita tion to Adam Warren John son, 28, for driving unin sured. -B PD re c e iv e d a report from a c aller that su b jects w ere rem o v in g items from a garage. Officer responded and advised that they were only rem oving their belongings. -BPD received a re port from a caller that there was a drunk driver at the gas station. -BPD received a re port from a caller that there was a person sleeping near a building, an officer was going to make contact. -BPD received a re port from a caller that her neighbor’s dog got into her yard and attacked her dog. -BPD received a re port from a caller that her daughter had locked her out o f the house. -BPD received a re port from a caller that her house had been burglarized last night and would like officer contact. -BPD received a call about some kids letting off' bottle rockets. July 8: -MCSO re ceived a report from a caller in Heppner that diesel was taken out o f his pick-up and fuel tank. -B P D re c e iv e d a report from a caller who wanted to make sure that two o f his vehicles had been repossessed. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Ir rigon that there had been a suspicious m ale at her residence yesterday. Subject was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Ir rigon that his old landlord is stalking him, calling him at work and searching for him. -MCSO received a report that some kids were in a park smoking marijuana. -MCSO received a report from a caller in lone that there was a grass fire. It was found to actually be a vehicle fire. -BPD issued a cita tion to German Tapia Ayala, 49, for v iolation o f the basic rule o f 72 mph in a 55 mph speed zone.
