Once a long-term com m itm ent is made, people often spend years v o lu n teerin g th eir services in various organi zations, churches, and plan ning commissions to help enhance the area where they live, work and play. The learn ing opportunities for our 4-H and FFA youth exhibi tors are a major cornerstone o f our fair. But w hether it’s a sole exhibit from a seamstress or a grade school drawing, each exhibit has an important place and a story o f its own. Everyone can and should find an area in which to participate. One important fair feature that draw s atten tion from many out of town fair visitors is the colorful com m unity booth exhib its inside the fair pavilion building. Each booth tells a story about the strength, purpose and participation of an organization, church, youth group or other entity. That display can be a pow erful magnet to attract new residents with like interests to this area. Open Class fruits, vegetables and flowers will also be accepted on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. This year all Open Class exhibits will be re leased on Sunday morning from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the same time 4-H exhibits are released. If for some reason you cannot make it on Sunday morning the Fair O ffice will be open Monday through Friday the week following fair from 8-12 and 1-5 for pick-up of items. After 30 days those exhibits that are left will become the property o f the Morrow County Fair and may be discarded. Morrow County Fair to be smoke free P.O. The Morrow County Fair Board made the deci sion to go smoke free to prevent any future problems that might arise from smok ing around food, animals or hay. The only area that will be designated for smok ing is the parking lot. The Rodeo will not be smoke free event.
