You may pre order the tamales for $ 15 per dozen or two dozen for $25. Pick up date will be March 15 in front of the Heritage Land Company on Main Street. If you don’t get a chance to pre order there will be tamales for sale on March 15 as well. The raffle will also be taking place on March 15th in front o f the Heritage Land Company. Heppner going “green” for St. Pat rick’s Day Celebration Have you been seeing “green” when you’re driving up Main Street at night? Debbie Young collected donations and L ott’s Electric purchased the lights at a discount and donated 14 strands so the lights could extend all the way up Main Street. Henderson, and honorary grandfather Lindsay Kincaid. Great-grandparents are James and Dora Starr and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Lee Cline. Burke Noah Mat t hew Burke, 4, was found Mon day, following an accidental drow ning near his home north o f lone. Joyce C. Wilson Jo y ce C. W ilson, w ife o f W ayne W ilson, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2008. She was bom in Lon don, England on November 4,1929. She lived in Golden Valley, AZ. She had previ ously lived in Heppner. Billy Joe Eubanks Billy Joe Eubanks, a resident o f Aurora passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008. He was 85 years old. A m em orial service was held in Oregon City. Bill was born A u gust 25, 1922 in lone and completed his school years there. He enlisted in the Navy during WWI1 for the duration o f the war. He spent time working as a logger in the Oregon City area until he was sev erely injured in an accident that left his back broken, and his heart injured. For many years he ground lens for glasses. Bill loved the out doors, especially hunting and fishing with friends and family. He will be remem bered for his happy, caring disposition and wonderful story telling. He lived most o f his life in the Oregon City area but came back to Eastern Oregon in the late 90’s and lived for a time at Olex. His health required a move back to Aurora so he could be close to the hospital. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Wal ter and Vela Eubanks; his siblings, Johnnie Eubanks o f Morrow County, Howard Eubanks o f Gilliam County, Eleanor Eubanks who died at age 12 in lone, and Veda Eubanks o f Madras. He is survived by: his wife, Francis o f Aurora; daughter, Judy Herzberg of Vancouver; sons, Leanard o f Vancouver, Dennis, Billy, and Kevin, all living near O regon C ity ; and m any grandchildren.
