OR 97403 The Morrow County H ealth D istrict, at th eir regular meeting in Irrigon M onday night, adopted a $5,916,680 budget for the 2006-07 fiscal y ear and imposed taxes at the rate of $.6050 per $1,(XX) assessed value for o p eratio n s and $.39 per $1,000 for local option tax for operations. O f the $5.9 million, $ 3 ,2 6 7 ,8 5 5 goes fo r p erso n n el se rv ic e s; $ 1,603,733 for materials and se rv ic e s; $ 5 7 9 ,4 0 3 for revenue deductions and bad debt; 0 for contingencies; $ 2 1 9 ,5 0 0 for c a p ita l purchases and $246,189 for c a p ita l lease and loan reduction. In other business. Chief Financial Office Nicole Mahoney reported that the month of May ended with another profit. The district showed a $67,298 gain for the month and a $449,793 gain fo r the year. The av erag e y e a r-to -d a te monthly gain was $40,890. “All in all, we’ve had a pretty good year," said board Chair Larry Mills. Also at the meeting. Director of Nursing, Home Health and Hospice Molly R hea rep o rted that the district has agreed to a three- p ercen t cost o f liv in g increase for the registered nurses, effective July 1. Their agreement with the RNs also in clu d es p ay m en t for overtim e for over 12-1/2 hours per day, rather than over 40 hours per week, as per the previous agreement. R hea said that a fte r investigation she discovered that most other hospitals she contacted pay overtime after 12-1/2 hours per day. MCGG Green Feed to hold Grand Opening this Saturday The Morrow County Grain Growers Green Feed Store in Heppner will hold its grand opening this Saturday, July I from 8a.m. to 4p.m. MCGG had previously purchased the feed store and has made extensive remodeling and increased inventory changes. For those who come to the grand opening there will be free hot dogs and hamburgers from 10a.m to 2p.m. There will also be 30 percent off all nursery stock, 20 percent off Montana Silver and clothing and other items on sale.
