He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. MCSO deputy cited Adam Warren Johnson, 25, for Violation of the Speed Limit, 46 mph in a 30 mph zone. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that a business card w o u ld n ’t give him gasoline. The caller wanted to get in touch with his boss and let him know w hat’s going on. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that two subjects in a vehicle were parked in front o f her house and d rin k in g in the vehicle. Ruben M oreno, 28, was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance-2 and C arry in g a C o n cealed Weapon. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in B oardm an o f several subjects with bats fighting. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that a subject was hit by a c ar near the restrooms at the Boardman Marina. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in B oardm an who believes su b jec ts are throw ing fireworks at houses. M CSO received a report of a fight in progress at the Boardman Marina. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman o f a male and female in a dispute. M CSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that he is looking for his pickup that was stolen out of Umatilla. MCSO deputy cited Alevandro Mendez, 26, for No Operator’s License and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. MCSO deputy cited a male juvenile for Driving while License Suspended- Violation. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that her three- legged dog “Gimp” was lost. M CSO received a report of a fight in progress at the Wilson Trailer Court in Boardman. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Heppner that the neighbor’s dog, a pitb u ll-ty p e, was charging at the caller’s fence. The caller’s dog was in its own yard. MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of a possible drunk driver who was swerving all over the road and speeding. A deputy was unable to locate the d riv er; the call was passed on to Umatilla Police Dept. M CSO received a report from a caller in lone that his wallet and driver’s license was stolen. M CSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that an ATV 4-wheeler was stolen. The vehicle was returned. M CSO received a report from a caller in lone of intoxicated driver heading tow ards lone; the caller called back and also reported three v eh icles on his property. B oardm an Fire Dept, advised units were out on standby for the fireworks. Boardman ambulance also advised they are standing by at Riverside High School for the fireworks. Ju ly 5: Boardman Police D ept. O fficer a rre sted Crystal Irene Glass, 38, on P arole and P ro b atio n D etainer. S u b ject was lodged at Umatilla Co. Jail. Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report of a fire of P atterso n Ferry and 7lh street. Smoke was coming from the Washington side. MCSO received a report from a caller in lone of kids drinking and possibly shooting off guns. Brooks Scott Rea, 22, was arrested on a Gilliam Co. warrant on Dangerous Drugs/Delivery of Controlled substance. He was also arrested on US Military warrant for Military D esertion. S u b ject was lodged at Umatilla Co. Jail. Catherine Marie Robey, 19, was cited for M IP- Consumption. M CSO a rre sted Jody Lea Hendricks, 34, on Irrigon Ju stic e C ourt Warrant. M CSO a rre sted Cesar Garcia, 23, on Irrigon Justice Court Warrant. MCSO received a report of a dog shot in the head while it was chained up on the property. A deputy determined the dog had not been shot. MCSO cited Maria Guadalupe Sellers, 39, to appear in Irrigon Justice C ourt for A llow ing the Unlawful use of a M otor V ehicle. Juan M iguel Fernandez, 26, was cited for no operator’s license. M CSQ received a request for contact from a caller in Irrigon regarding a burglary at her residence. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in B oardm an reg ard in g a vehicle with three juvenile males traveling at a high rate of speed that spooked her horse. M CSO received a report from Portland Police Dept, that a male subject was arrested on Irrigon Justice Court Warrant for Contempt of Court/DUII. M CSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that her 15 year- old son w o u ld n ’t com e home. M CSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a vehicle was parked on his vacant property next door to their residence. Ju ly 6: Boardman Police Dept, arrested Robin Lee Dittmore, 24, on WA W arrant In d ictm en t for Failure to Appear/Forgery 10 counts. B oardm an Police Dept, cited Charles Roland C lark , 32, to ap p ear in Irrigon Justice Court for Possession of Less than an ounce o f M arijuana and Possession of a Controlled S u b stan ce II, methamphetamine. B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller that a male subject in a red car stared at her. B oardm an Police Dept, cited Armilda Lucille Guerrero, 33, to appear at Irrigon Justice Court for a Driving While Suspended Infraction. B oardm an Police Dept, cited Mario Alberto Montez Ramos, 20, for no license and failure to carry proof of Insurance. B oardm an Police Dept, received a report of a $ 19.50 drive off theft in a red Nissan extended cap pickup. Heppner Ambulance received a report of a male with a high fever. Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report from a caller in Irrigon claiming smoke from illegal burning was coming into a residence where his wife has asthma. They did not need an ambulance at that time. MCSO cited Eric T. Johnson, 39, to appear at Irrigon Justice Court for a Driving While Suspended Violation. MCSO received a complaint from a man who claim ed that his ex-w ife wouldn't give him diapers for his kids. M CSO received a rep o rt from an Irrigon woman who said that her son had threatened to cut off her oxygen. She wanted the son to leave. M CSO receiv ed report of a suspicious vehicle in Irrigon. M CSO received a complaint from a caller in H eppner that m usic was playing really loud three blocks away. Ju ly 7: Boardman P olice D ept, cited Alex Rivera, 27, for Driving While Suspended and for Failure to Carry Present ID. Subject warned for Failure to use Turn Signal. B oardm an P olice D ep artm en t cite d M ary Carolyn Stein, 51, to appear in C irc u it C o u rt fo r Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II. B o a r d m a n Ambulance received report o f a m ale w ith severe abdominal pain. Irrigon Ambulance received a report of a female with severe abdominal pain. Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report of burning in a barrel. MCSO received a report that Hermiston PD on MC Circuit arrested Levi B Welch Jones, 31, for DA Info on charge of Harassment. Subject is lodged at Umatilla Co. Jail. MCSO received a req u est to check on a suspicious vehicle in the area. Vehicle backed out when deputy spotted the vehicle. MCSO received a report of a window being broken in a camper. MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Heppner that her neighbor’s horse corral stinks. MCSO received a report that Alonzo Ramirez Alcarez, 29, was arrested by H erm iston P olice D ep artm en t on Irrig o n Justice Court for Failure to Appear/Criminal Mischief n. MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of a male hanging around the area who scares her. J u ly 8: M CSO received a report of someone in Heppner burning things. Subject was warned not to bum until bum ban is lifted. MCSO received a rep o rt of som eone requesting contact regarding people blocking the alley and they are supposed to park on the property. M CSO received a report from a female caller that a male subject drove by her house, parked further down the road, and watched her through binoculars. M CSO received a report that Gary Lee Murphy Jr., 31, was arrested by H erm isto n P olice D ep artm en t on M orrow County Circuit Warrant for F ailu re to A p p ear/ Possession o f C ontrolled Substance II. He was lodged at Umatilla Co. Jail. MCSO received a report from a male caller w ho w ould like co n tact reg ard in g his ex -fian cé coming to get the rest of her things. B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report from a female claiming that she was getting threatening calls from a fem ale in the Hermiston area. She claims that the caller is threatening to kill her. B oardm an P olice Dept, cited a male subject to appear at Irrigon Justice C o u rt fo r No L ice n se / Driving Uninsured. B oardm an P olice Dept, cited a male subject to appear at Irrigon Justice C ourt for No O p erato r’s License. Ju ly 9: Boardman Police Department arrested Leobardo Solis Jaquez, 54, on Morrow County Circuit Court Warrant for Failure to Appear/Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. • B oardm an P o lice Department cited Gerardo Garay Laureano, 19, for No License and No Insurance. B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report from a caller that her keys have been stolen and she is afraid her car will be stolen. B oardm an P o lice Dept, received a report from a c a lle r claim in g that a subject came up behind him and bumped into his vehicle with the subject’s vehicle. B o a r d m a n Ambulance received report of a female who is having shortness of breath, possible pneumonia, left arm hurts, dust allerg y , hands feel weird, chronic bronchitis. B o a r d m a n Ambulance received report of a female with diabetic problems: feet swollen with lesions, cannot walk on her feet, to painful to even touch. M CSO receiv ed report from a caller that dogs took toys out of her kid’s pool. MCSO cited Bruce Randall Bader, 45, to appear in Irrigon Justice Court for Violation of the Basic Rule, 84 mph in a 55 mph zone. M CSO receiv ed report from a caller claiming that her ex-boyfriend came and took back the vehicle that she had been driving for four years, which had some of her stuff in it. Vehicle is in boyfriend’s name. M CSO receiv ed report from a caller who reported that her husband i left Thursday, upset, and had not retu rn ed . S ubject returned home. M CSO received a complaint that two or three juveniles were riding a three- wheeler in general area of the caller’s address in Irrigon. M CSO received a rep o rt o f a blank check stolen out of a vehicle. The check has been returned. M CSO received a report of multiple 911 hang ups from a location in Irrigon w here c h ild ren w ere laughing and playing in the background, daring each other to hang up and do it again. M CSO received a report of someone returning lost property to a woman whose purse was left on the top of her vehicle when she dropped her grandson off. M CSO received a rep o rt o f a 14 year-o ld female assaulted by another female who was almost 17. Cano to appear in Irrigon Justice Court for No license and Driving Uninsured. B oardm an P olice D ep artm en t cited Jesus Ferias-Ramos, 25, to appear in Irrigon Justice Court for No Insurance. B oardm an P olice D epartm ent cited V ictor G utierrez Velasco, 48, to appear in Irrigon Justice Court for No Insurance. B oardm an P olice Department cited Sean Elliot Ferguson, 32, to appear in Irrigon Justice Court for No Insurance. B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report of a w hite four-door C adillac driving all over the road and the wrong way on Wilson R d.. The subject left in a white, 95 Grand Am. No ambulance was needed at the time. Rodriguez Delatorre, 28, was lodged at Umatilla County Jail on Assault IV D o m e s tic /H a r a s s me n t/ Menacing. M CSO receiv ed rep o rt from a c a lle r in H eppner who was being harassed by phone. MCSO cited Jackie Eugene Scott, 21, to appear in Irrigon Justice Court for Failure to Appear/Driving While Suspended. M CSO arrested K evin N o rto n , 28, on H ep p n er Ju stic e C ourt W arrant fo r F u rn ish in g Alcohol to Minors. Funds announced for kids’ immunizations and vaccines U.S. Senators Ron W yden (D -O re.) and G ordon Sm ith (R -O re.) recently announced that the O regon D ep artm en t o f Health and Human Services will receive a $6,128,515 grant from the Centers for D isease C ontrol Procurem ent and G rants Office. The program slated to receiv e fu n d in g is Immunizations and Vaccines for Children (VFC), which supplies free vaccines for immunizing eligible children in p u b lic and p riv ate p ra c tic e s at no c o st to participating health care p ro v id e rs. V accines for C h ild ren aim s to help Oregon reach its goal of having 90 percent o f our children up to date with their immunization series by age two. “O regon ch ild ren deserve every chance to lead healthy, productive lives, and childhood vaccinations are a vital first step,” said Wyden. “This federal grant will move us c lo se r to the goal o f quality health care for every Oregonian.” * “O regon’s children have their best chance to learn , live h ap p ily and su cceed w hen they are h e a lth y ,” said Sm ith. “Vaccination is an expensive p ro c e ss, but w ith these funds, thousands of children w ill av o id d e b ilita tin g infections and better enjoy their youth at no cost.” The VFC program is ex p ected to b en efit approximately 60 percent of U.S. children. M ag n etic D oor Signs H ERE H eppner G azette-T im es 676-9228 DIY 4-H group meets By Christine Raible The main purpose of the DIY Kids 4-H group meeting on July 6 was to cut out patterns for pajama pants for each of the girls, and to count the money they made from selling lemonade and sugar cookies during the lone 4th of July celebration. The group was trying to raise money for a trip to an alpaca farm to see a store w here they sell knitting supplies and string made from alpaca fur. They ended up m aking ju s t enough money for the trip. They m ade $ 1 08.50 from the lemonade sales. Afterward, they ate their sack lunches and discussed what competitions they should do in the fair. Since they are all juniors (fourth and fifth graders) they decided to do the easy com petitions such as the “Beginner Button Sewing Competition.” Then they all said their goodbyes and went home. T hose w ho attended the meeting were: Julianne C arlson, Lacey T h o m p so n , S tacee H alv erso n , S tephanie Schuler, Shadow Kendrick, Christine Raible, club leader, Sarah C arlso n and the mothers of the DIY Kids. The next meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m., July 27 at the fairg ro u n d s kitchen. Members will be practicing their measuring and button sewing for the contests during fair. St. Patrick’s Senior Center news The U nited Methodist Church will host the senior center Wednesday noon meal on July 20. The menu is barbecue on a bun, corn, celery sticks, fresh fruit, buns and pudding. There will be a board meeting at the St. Patrick’s office at 12:30 p.m. the same day.
