A th letic D irecto r Dean Robinson presented the boys’ tennis team with pins from the Dairy Farmers of Oregon for placing first academ ically am ong 1A schools with a 3.64 GPA. The track girls received pins for placing fifth with a GPA of 3.59. K aren H olland presented Spanish awards to Paul N eiffer and Johnny Collin for their “enthusiasm, hard work and knowledge.” The physical conditioning award, given by Dale Holland, went to Dan Long. High school math teach er D ale H olland presented outstanding math student aw ards to Amy Jepsen and Tina Tuzarova. D uane N eiffer presented the biology award to Ashly Grams, who had the highest average for the year. Receiving science awards for completing eight credits of science courses in high school w here N atalie McElligott, Billy Ross, Billy Gates, Johnny Collin and Paul Neiffer. International Club members received pins from adviser Ryan Rudolf. Pow erade Scholar Athletes, seniors who must have an accumulative 3.5 GPA or better and letter in a varsity sport, were Emily Key, Johnny Collin, Billy Gates, Paul Neiffer, Natalie McElligott, Tina Tuzarova and Billy Ross. Perfect attendance awards went to Dan Long, John Walton, Tyler Raible, Johnny C o llin and Paul N eiffer. N eiffer was reco g n ized for having perfect attendance since the sixth grade. Teacher Jim Raible and cook Kay Aldritt were recognized for receiving the Crystal Apple Award for Umatilla-Morrow counties.
