T his win cinches the No. 4 spot for the C ardinals at the D istrict Tournam ent starting on Thursday, Feb. 19 at Umatilla. Tyler Raible and Kelly Thom pson led the team with 15 points each. I thought all the kids played well.” A 31-18 advantage in the second h alf rallied the Heppner M ustang JV boys to a 51-42 w in over the Pilot Rock R ockets on Tuesday, Feb. 10 in Pilot Rock. The M ustangs improved to 17 and 2 on the year w ith one gam e remaining. The M ustangs cam e out running and built an 18-12 lead after one, getting 10 points from Mikel Britt and four from K o ry P a u llu s b u t w e re outscored 12-2 in the second as the R ockets took a 24-20 lead at the break. Paullus had six points in the third as the M ustangs battled back to tie the game at 3 2 -3 2 a f te r th r e e .
