TWELVE- Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, February 18. 2004 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) re ports handling the following business: -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact in Irrigon regarding a custody dispute. -MCSO received a report from the Union County Sheriff's Office of a non-injury motor vehicle accident on USFS Road 5327. It was a non-blocking accident. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that two suspicious vehicles were parked next to her residence. The vehicles left at a high rate of speed. -MCSO received a report from Hermiston Police Dept, that Amber L. Wilson, 20, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Theft of Service. She was cited and released to appear. S ep t. 26: MCSO, B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller at the Boardman Shell station of a $ 10 drive-off. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that someone was messing with his stuff. A deputy was unable to locate anyone. -Boardm an Police Dept, officer cited a male juvenile for Driving while License Suspended Violation and No Insurance. -M C SO , O regon State Police, Boardman Police Dept, received a request for assistance from a Greyhound bus driver at the Boardman eastbound rest area for three passengers who were being unruly and setting off fireworks in the parking lot. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Hermiston who owns property near I-84/H ighw ay 730 junction; he found a half-dozen m arijuana plants on his property. -MCSO received a report from the Umatilla Police D ept, that Shawn Leroy Creek, 29, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Dri ving while License Suspended. He was cited and released due to overcrowding. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Heppner regarding a pending citation against a subject. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that both of his vehicles at his residence had been broken into. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of a theft of a 4-wheeler. -MCSO received a rep o rt th a t Joseph Lee Swope, 22, was lodged on a D eten tio n W arrant for Probation Violation. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Heppner regarding barking dogs. The caller thought she knew who the owner was. -MCSO received a report that a male subject with severe bleeding due to a machine accident in Irrigon was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Irrigon. -MCSO received a request for an ambulance in Irrigon for a 78-year-old male subject having difficulty breathing. The patient was tra n sp o rte d to G ood Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller at El Sol that a juvenile had been detained for shoplifting. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Boardman of two cow heads on the road on Laurel Lane off Wilson Road. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of an abandoned vehicle in Irrigon. -M CSO , H eppner ambulance received a report from a caller in Heppner that a 14-year-old male had been hit on the head during the Heppner football game. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. -MCSO received a report from Ada County in Idaho that Victor Carroll Evangelista, 41, was arrested on a Circuit Court warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle. He was already lodged at the Ada County Jail in Boise, Idaho. -M C SO , O regon State Police received a report o f a p o ssib le D U II on Patterson Ferry Road. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a request for an officer contact at a location in Boardman reg ard in g an attem p ted burglary. -MCSO received a report of a possible MIP party at the gravel pit off Willow Creek Road out of Heppner. A deputy was unable to locate anyone. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that an 87-year-old male had fallen. No transport was made. -MCSO received a report from a caller on 1-84 that a vehicle was blocking traffic and not letting people pass in the fast lane on 1-84 eastbound. -MCSO received a report that Adelfo Sanchez- Ley va, 36, was cited for No Operator’s License and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that a female subject would not return the children. -MCSO deputy cited Pete D elgado, 29, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 45 mph in a 25 mph zone, and Maria I. Delgado, 27, was cited for No O p e ra to r’s License. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman of a suspicious vehicle parked near her residence. -Boardm an Police Dept, officers cited Baltazar Morfin Palominos, 18, for No Operator’s License and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. Sept. 27: Boardman Police Dept, officers arrested Adrian Perez Gonzalez, 23, for DUII (BAC .15) and cit ed for No Operator’s License and No Insurance. The vehi cle was impounded. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman of a possible MIP party in the area and several subjects were on his property. -MCSO received a report from a caller that he hit a deer on Highway 207 south of the North Lexington Eleva tor. It was a non-injury, non- blocking accident. The caller would have the vehicle towed f tomorrow. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller at Dodge City Inn in Boardman that an unwant ed subject was at the bar. -MSCO received a report from a caller that his vehicle is disabled on Highway 730 near 1-84. -MCSO, Irrigon Fire Dept, received a transferred 911 call from the Hermiston Police Dept. A caller in Irrigon reported seeing smoke in the back bedroom of her resi dence. It was determined to be an electrical short. -B oardm an Police Dept, officer cited a female subject for Violation of the Basic Rule, 32 mph in a 20 mph zone. School Zone. -MCSO received a request for an ambulance for a 16-year-old female soccer player with a dislocated knee. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Cen ter in Hermiston. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept., Boardman am bulance received a request for an ambulance for a 19-year- old male soccer player with a broken leg. The patient was transported to Good Shep herd M edical C en ter in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that the neighbor’s dogs keep barking. -MCSO deputy cited Mathew S. Jurcich, 32, for Failure to Use Seatbelt. -MCSO, Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report from a caller in Irrigon that three ju veniles had set the trees on fire near the Learning Center in Irrigon. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that an unwanted male subject was on her porch and he wasn’t supposed to be there. The male juvenile was cited for No Operator’s License and Driv ing Uninsured. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO deputy cited Clay Hawley, 36, for Failure to Wear Seatbelt. -MCSO received a report of a one-car non-injury rollover accident 1/2 mile off Rhea Creek Road. -MCSO deputy cited Donald J. Benefiel, 49, for Vi olation of the Basic Rule, 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. -Boardm an Police Dept, officers arrested Noe Rodriguez, 18, for Failure to Appear/Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Less that One Oz. Marijuana; and another sub ject was cited for Driving while License Suspended and Driv ing Uninsured. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a report of loud music from a caller in Boardman. A deputy was unable to locate the source of the music. Sept. 28: MCSO re ceived a report from a caller in Irrigon of a loud party at the Green Acres RV Park. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from a payphone at the Sentry Mar ket in Irrigon. It was deter mined all was okay. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of an audible alarm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Boardman. The building was secure, all was okay. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a dog is chasing him and some kids in the neighbor hood. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of loud music coming from the trailer across the street. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that someone stole their trailer plates. -MCSO received a report of smoke coming from the Willow Creek bridge area in Heppner. It was determined to be a controlled bum. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that two small stray dogs jumped into a custom e r’s vehicle. The dogs were taken back to their owner. -MCSO received a request fcr deputy assistance for an out-of-control juvenile. -Boardm an Police Dept, officer cited Mark Keg- ler, 48, for No Operator’s Li cense and No Insurance. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that he was in a fender-bender non-injury accident with an other subject. Information was exchanged. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a minor motor vehicle acci dent at the 1-84 eastbound off ramp. It was a non-injury, non- blocking accident. -MCSO received a report from a caller of a pro pane leak in her motor home at the Driftwood RV park. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that a sub ject was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Fail ure to Pay Fine/MIP. -MCSO received a request for assistance from a caller in lone to do a welfare check on her aunt. The caller couldn’ t get a hold of her and was concerned for her welfare. An Attempt to Locate was sent out. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that she found a German Shepherd. The dog was transported to its owners. -M C SO , U CSO , Umatilla and Boardman Police depts. received a report from a child caller in Irrigon who reported a domestic dispute between his parents in Irrigon. The parties separated. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a Hereford cow was in the watermelon patch on Colum bia in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report of a possible DUII south of Heppner. It was not a DUII. -MCSO received a report of trespassers at a lo cation along Highway 207. The report was unfounded. -M C SO , ODOT, Heppner Fire Dept., Heppner ambulance received a report of a one-vehicle motor vehi cle accident on Highway 74. No transport was made. -MCSO, Irrigon am bulance received a request for an ambulance for an 82-year- old subject who fell. The pa tient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner of noises coming from an apartment; the caller’s neigh bor was supposed to be gone and no vehicle was there. It was determined all was okay; the resident of the apartment was home. S e p t. 30: M CSO, O SP cited Jessica Dawn Grigsby, 22, for Possession of a Controlled Substance Less than One Ounce of Marijuana and for E ndangering the Welfare of a Minor. -M C SO arrested Darren Ned Humbert, 44, for Possession of a Controlled S u b s t a n c e - M eth am p h etam in e. The subject was lodged at Umatilla County Jail and the vehicle was impounded. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for an 83- year-old female who was unresponsive but breathing l okay. The subject had just came home from the nursing home that day. Subject was tra n sp o rte d to G ood Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report of an alarm at Riverside High School in Boardman. -MCSO received a report from the government trapper that he would be doing bird control behind Lamb- Weston at the Port of Morrow in case any calls came in reporting shots fired in the area. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a steer was out on the roadway at the east of the Irrigon Mobile Court. Contact was made with the possible owner and they were en route. -MCSO received a report from Columbia Middle School in Irrigon that someone had spray-painted graffiti on the back of the school building. -P aro le and P ro b atio n lodged D iana Hernandez, 35, for Probation Violation, refused sanction. -M C SO , OSP received a report that a tractor with box trailer passed the caller on Bombing Range Rd and that she was going 55 mph. -MCSO cited Suzun Ka Patterson, 37, for Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that their neighbor was burning out in the middle of the road and she can’t get her car past. -MCSO received a report that a person was speeding through Irrigon and she is concerned about the children in the area as the driver is usually drinking. -M C SO a rre sted Steven Ray Brown, 19, on a Umatilla County warrant for F ailu re to A p p ear/ Harassment. The subject was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report that a vehicle was leaving from Les Schwab and was very intoxicated. Mark V. W agonhoffer, 46, was arrested for DUII (BAC refusal). -MCSO received a report from Pioneer Clinic that a patient came in with a dog bite that had occurred the previous week. -MCSO cited Mark V. Wagonhoffer, 46, for Illegal Possession o f Game. The racks and m eat w ere confiscated by ODFW. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a dog bit her son and she wants to file a report. -MCSO received a report from a business in Heppner that a subject had refused to pay for a pizza and now will not give it back. -MCSO received a report of a theft in Irrigon of $50. -B o ard m an PD receiv ed a rep o rt that someone was attempting to break into a residence. The windows had been opened twice. -M C SO , O SP received a report that a young female, in her 20s, had her pants down to her ankles and was wearing a dark shirt on the sh o u ld er o f 1-84 eastbound. -MCSO cite Carmen Lucina Dominguez-Gardea, 39, fo r No O p e ra to r’s Licease. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact from a business in Heppner for a check of the area as they had heard a suspicious noise in the alley. Oct. 13: MCSO re ceived a report from a caller at Action Tow in Boardman that their office was broken into. -MCSO received a report from a caller outside Heppner that his neighbor saw a trespasser on the caller’s property earlier in the morn ing. The caller was unable to locate any trespassers. -MCSO deputy ar rested Tonya L. Chandler, 37, on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance II, Possession of a Controlled Substance II, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle; and possible local charges as she may have also been involved in an earlier incident. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact from a caller in Lexington re garding a question. -MCSO received a report of a panic alarm at the Heppner Courthouse. It was determined all was okay. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance from a call er in Boardman regarding a female subject having chest pains. The patient was trans ported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from Devin Oil in Boardman. It was de termined all was okay. -MCSO deputy ar rested Anthony James Hansen, 32, for Theft by Receiving. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of several juveniles in the burnt-out house next to his. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a car dolly was stolen. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, officers arrested Mayra P. Ruelas, 27, on a Cir cuit Court warrant for Crimi nal Mistreatment. Per the DA’s office, Ruelas was cited and released to appear. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that he lost his right side cur tain off his golf cart on High way 207 between Echo and Heppner. -MCSO received a report from Heppner Fire Dept, of a mock fire and drill they were going to hold at the St. Patrick’s Senior Center in Heppner; they were going to do a full evacuation. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that a female subject came over and accused her son of stealing. -MCSO deputy cited a male subject for Careless Driving. -MCSO, ODOT re ceived a report that the lights are out in the passenger car area of the Boardman west bound rest area. ODOT ad vised it was an on-going prob lem and the electric company would be out to fix it again. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, officers cited Robert Ross Cameron, 18, for Exceeding the M aximum Speed Limit, 82 mph in a 65 mph zone. -MCSO deputy cited Phillip Andrew Williams, 39, for No Operator’s License and No Insurance. The vehi cle was impounded. Oct. 14: Boardman Police Dept, officers cited Puresa Guerrero Alvarez, 43, for Failure to Register Vehicle. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Irrigon regard ing her infant daughter who was taken by a male subject after an argument the previous day. The subject had permis sion to take the infant but the caller hadn’t seen them since they left and was concerned. An Attempt to Locate for a welfare check was sent out. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance. Lexington EMTs received a request for an am bulance from a caller in Lex ington for a 61 -year-old male subject having trouble breath ing and had a history of medi cal problems.
