SIX - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, December 31, 2003 Sheriffs Report The Morrow County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) re ports handling the following business: A ug. 21: M CSO, B oardm an P olice D ept, received a report from a caller in Boardman o f a bald man inside his neighbor’s pickup in Boardman. -MCSO received a report that Superior Auto R ecovery rep o ssessed a vehicle in Boardman. -M C SO , USFS received two reports of smoke coming from the southeast of Black Mountain. -MCSO received a report from a caller at the Columbia Middle School in Irrigon o f two speed control signs stolen. -M C SO deputy arrested James Jeffery Nelson, 37, for V iolation o f a Restraining Order. He was released on his own recognizance to appear in court. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from a residence in Boardman. The line was busy on call-back. It w as d eterm in ed to be a misdial. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Heather M. Juarez, 18, was arrested on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for F ailu re to A p p ear/ Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession o f a Controlled Substance II. She was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail under Probable Cause charges from Hermiston PD with a hold for Morrow County. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that a male subject bought a gallon of muratic acid. -MCSO received a report from a caller at Pioneer Memorial Clinic in Heppner that a 1 '/i-week-old infant came in with an infected dog bite. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Boardman of a loose llama. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance from a caller in B oardm an for a very intoxicated 48-year-old female with a cut ear. The female had passed out. Transport was refused. -MCSO received a report from a caller at the Central Red Apple Market in Heppner of two male subjects fighting on Main Street in front o f the B ank o f E astern Oregon. -MCSO, Boardman PD received multiple reports o f a motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles in a rollover accident. A tractor fell off o f a trailer, blocking the slow lane o f traffic on 1-84 eastbound. Two patients were tra n sp o rte d to G ood Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office that Jeremy William Garcia, 25, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Possession o f Less than O ne Oz. Marijuana. He was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail. A ug. 22: M CSO received a report from the Hermiston PD that Mario O lguin Sanchez, 21, was arrested for an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Harassment. He was cited and released to appear in court. -MCSO, Boardman PD and FD received a report o f a fire alarm at Logan International in Boardman. The call w as can celled and reported several times. It was determined to be an alarm malfunction. -MCSO, Irrigon FD received a report o f a brush fire in Irrigon near a boat. The fire was determined to have been started by a power pole transformer. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance in Boardman for an 88-year-old female who had labored breathing. The patient was transported to G ood Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report o f burglar alarm at the night drop at Klamath First Bank in Heppner. It was determined to be a false alarm. -M C SO , O regon State Police received a report of a truck pulling a horse trailer passing dangerously at high speeds. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Boardman regarding a truck pulling a farm implement that blew out the window on his van just prior to Boardman. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact in Irrigon regarding three juveniles (possible ages five, six and eight) in a friend’s house she is watching. -M C SO deputy requested a paramedic come to a location in Irrigon for a 6- y e ar-o ld boy w ho had possibly broken his leg. The patient was transported to G ood Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact in Boardman regarding her ex- husband. -M C SO , Irrig o n ambulance received a request for an ambulance in Irrigon for a 60-year-old female who had fallen down the stairs. The patient was transported to G ood Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report o f several juveniles riding their bikes in lanes of traffic near the Irrigon Post Office. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f a ja c k -k n ife d truck blocking tiie traffic on Highway 730 just east o f 1-84. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f an alarm at a location in Boardman. It was determined to be a false alarm. -MCSO received a report from OSP of a possible DUII headed westbound on Highway 730 from Irrigon. -M C SO deputy advised he was out with a vehicle in Heppner; the plates did not match the return of the vehicle, but the vehicle was parked and a driver not seen operating the vehicle. The vehicle had ju s t been purchased. The plates were seized. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman of a stray dog in the area. -MCSO received a report o f a wire down near a street in Heppner. It was determined to be a TV cable. A ug. 23: M CSO d eputy cited A lfonso Gonzales, Jr., 28, for Driving while License Suspended Vi olation and Driving Uninsured. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO deputies cit ed Rey Luis Cruz Tapia, 30, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 80 mph in a 55 mph zone and Driving Uninsured -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of a verbal argument between two males in front o f the call er’s residence. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Irrigon regard I ing persons, possibly juveniles, hanging around the caller’s bam. -MCSO received 911 calls from a residence in Heppner; call-back was not possible due to static and a busy sig n al. A deputy checked; the phone line had been stretched to the resi dence and spliced but was ly ing in water. No one was at the residence. -M C SO , O regon State Police, Tri-Com re ceived a report from a caller that a vehicle chasing another vehicle almost ran the caller off the road on Highway 74 to the 1-84 junction. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Boardman o f two dogs com ing into his yard and killing his chickens. -MCSO, GCSO re ceived a report from a caller on Highway 74 that a male subject was hanging around her residence; she followed him to Cecil. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact in H eppner for a pickup blocking a driveway. The ve hicle was moved prior to the deputy’s arrival. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report o f a fight in progress at the Sandpipers Apts, in Boardman. David Lopez-Perez, 20, was arrest ed for Assault IV and lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a report from Cascade Specialties in Boardman o f a male subject in his late 40s who was possi bly having a heart attack. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Cen ter in Hermiston. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman of juveniles throw ing rocks at the caller’s vehi cle. The caller called back and said he talked to the juveniles’ parents and an officer contact was not needed. -MCSO received a report from a caller in lone of two neighbors whose dogs bark 24-hours a day. -MCSO received a report of a possible DUII in Irrig o n . O scar C am pos Alvarado, 25, was cited for Open Container. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a female subject came into her house and hit her 1 -year- old. The subject also has a re straining order against her. Patti Elizabeth Conteras, 27, was arrested for Harassment x3, Restraining Order Violation. She was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a married couple was fighting again. The caller ad vised it was a verbal argument -MCSO deputy re ported a disabled vehicle on 1-84 eastbound with a female and several children inside. Oregon State Police were no tified. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman o f an injured pigeon underneath her vehicle. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner of several subjects in the alley behind GD’s Restaurant hav ing an argument. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance, lone EMTs re ceived a report from a caller in lone of a 77-year-old male with breathing difficulties. No transport was made. A ug. 24: M CSO deputy cited a male subject for Violation of the Basic Rule, 52 mph in a 35 mph zone. -MCSO received a request that dispatch call a res idence in lone and request the owner quiet down his dog that had been barking all night. No one answered the phone and a message was left. -MCSO received a report o f a vehicle on 1-84 westbound passing a vehicle and a semi on the right shoul der o f the freeway at speeds o f 90+ mph. The vehicle took the Irrigon 168 exit. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Tangent, OR that she left her wallet at the MCGG C onvenience Store in Lexington. A phone number was requested so she could call the store herself. -MCSO received a report from a caller that his girl friend was going to call MCSO and report he assault ed her; a female was heard yelling in the background. A caller called back from a lo cation in Lexington reporting her father’s girlfriend is assault ing him. Peggy Lee Mitchell, 43, was cited for Possession o f Less that One Oz. Marijua na. Jeffrey M ichael Zimmerman, 40, was cited for Domestic Assault and released on his own recognizance. -MCSO, Boardman PD, Boardman ambulance re ceived a request for an ambu lance from a caller at Lamb Weston in Boardman for a male subject possibly having a heart attack. The patient was transported to Good Shep h erd M edical C en ter in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report from Hermiston PD that Curtis James Drury, 21, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay F ine/Possession of a Con trolled Substance-Marijuana. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller at the La Serenata in Boardman that someone pulled their main fire alarm and they couldn’t get it turned off. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a request for an officer contact from a caller in Boardman regarding an aban doned puppy. Pet Rescue was suggested but the caller still wanted to talk to an officer. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from the Boardman Shell sta tion that someone drove off without paying $45.25 for gas oline. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report from a caller of a possible DUII on Patterson Ferry. The vehicle was stopped; the driver was on a cell phone. The driver was issued a warning. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Rob ert Gene Morley, 35, was ar rested on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Fail ure to Appear/Possession o f a Controlled Substance and a U C SO w arran t. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Bob by Gene Burgess, 37, was ar rested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Theft II, Unlawful En try. Buigess was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Toni Marie Pennock, 26, was ar rested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Permitting Dog to Run at Large. She was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on a Union County warrant. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Ricky Lee Pennock, 33, was arrest ed on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Criminal Trespass II, and on an Umatilla CO felony war rant. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report o f loud music at an apartm ent in Boardman. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon < that some juveniles had been harassing him. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that her stepchildren had not been returned by the children’s mother at the appointed time as per custody papers. -MCSO received a report of a dead deer partially in the roadway on Highway 74 just north of Kinzua Mill. -MCSO received a report from the Hermiston Police Dept, that Steven Scott Rodriguez, 23, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/ Driving while License Sus pended. He was cited and re leased due to overcrowding. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report from a caller in Boardman o f a 30- year-old female with severe abdominal pain. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Heppner re garding loud music at a resi dence. -Boardman PD offic er cited Adam Eugene Thomas Lovgren, 23, for Disobeying Traffic Control Device. -M C SO , OSP, Boardman PD officers cited Jose Santos Franco Garcia, 31, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 70 mph in a 55 mph zone, No Insurance, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehi cle and No O perator’s Li cense. The vehicle was towed. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a report from a caller in Boardman o f a 50-year-old male subject with severe back pain. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Cen ter in Hermiston. A ug. 25: M CSO , Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for an Attempt to Locate from UCSO for a vehicle whose driver tried to pass counterfeit bills. The ve hicle was last seen on 1-84 westbound. Officers were un able to locate the vehicle. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in lone regarding an on-going balking dog com plaint. The caller had already contacted the owner o f the dog on several occasions and now wanted to sign a citation. -MSO received a re port from a caller at Boardman Sentry Market that the store management has a juvenile detained for shoplifting a bag o f chocolate chips. -MCSO received a report of property damage at the old Cargill Elevators east ofBoardman. -MCSO received a request for a records check from Linn County Sheriff’s Office on a male subject and a female subject. They were not in the locals. -MCSO received a report of a possible stolen bike in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report o f tools stolen from a job site at the Boise Cascade Tree Farm. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding a question about an abandoned vehicle on Potlatch property. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner of several goats tethered at the Blue Spruce Apartments that could not reach water. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance received a report from a caller at the Heppner Senior Center o f a female who had fallen. The patient was transported to Pioneer Me morial Hospital in Heppner. -MCSO deputy cited a subject for Possession o f a Controlled Substance II, Pos session o f a Controlled Sub stance IV. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a request for an officer contact from a caller in Boardman about a paper she had been served. -MCSO received a report o f a vehicle partially blocking the southbound lane o f Olson Road. The owner moved the vehicle. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that someone had stolen her camera while she was vacu uming her vehicle. The cam era was located. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact re garding juveniles harassing the caller. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon o f a barking dog. Shannon Brasel, 29, was cited for Maintaining a Dog as a Public Nuisance. -MCSO received a report o f an alarm and flash ing lights coming from inside the H eppner E lem entary School. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance, lone EMTs re ceived a request for an ambu lance from a caller in lone for an 80-year-old male who was having trouble breathing. No transport was made. Aug. 26: MCSO re ceived a report from a caller at the Irrigon Marina who wanted to auction off a boat that had sunk in the Marina earlier. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Heppner re garding dogs running at large. -MCSO deputy ar rested Michael D. Lynch, 45, on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Distribution o f a Controlled Substance, Possession o f a Controlled Substance. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from Oregon State Po lice that Michelene A. Barron, 25, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Fail ure to Appear/Driving while License Suspended. Barron was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that their storage shed had been broken into. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that two guns were stolen from the residence. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance, lone EMTs re ceived a request for an ambu lance from a caller in lone for a 77-year-old male having dif ficulty breathing. The patient was transported to Pioneer M em orial H o sp ital in Heppner. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a sub ject who had shortness o f breath, blurred vision and was dizzy. The subject was on USFS Road 21 by Tupper. The subject refused transport. -Boardman PD cited Jorge L. Avila Oblea, 21, for Driving Uninsured. The vehi cle was impounded. -MCSO received a rep o rt o f an a ssa u lt in progress. Jose Garcia-Oronia, 18, was arrested for Domes tic Harassment, and cited for Unlawful Use of Weapon. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner of $ 100 being removed from her residence by the babysitter. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding the c aller’s es tranged husband’s visits with children. -MCSO received a report of a theft that occurred at the lone School. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact in Heppner regarding a dis pute resulting from a noise complaint i
