SIX - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, December 10, 2003 Mustang girls drop two at tournament By Kick Paullus The H eppner M ustang girls’ varsity opened th e 2 0 0 3 - 0 4 s e a s o n by dropping tw o gam es at the Santiam Christian Tournament in C orvallis on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6. The M ustangs w ill be at M ac-H i on Friday, Dec. 12 and will play R iverside on Saturday, Dec. 13. T he M ustangs faced the Regis Rams on Friday and g e ttin g fo u r p o in ts fro m Brooke Rust trailed ju st 10-6 after one, but w ere outscored 18-6 in the second and trailed 28-12 at the half. M a d is o n B a ile y scored seven points in the third, but the Mustangs trailed 43-23 going into the fourth. Linsey Mitchell had six points, Shanna Rietm ann four points and Chelsea Britt three as they outscored the Ram s 18-12 in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough as they fell 55-41. The M ustangs, now 2 and 0, will be at M ac- Hi on Friday, Dec. 12 and will be at R iverside on Saturday, Dec. 13 in non-league play. Regis, w ho had ju st lo s t th e f o o tb a ll s ta te cham pionship gam e six days earlier, took a 14-6 lead after one, but the M ustangs w oke up in the second quarter as Gus Torres hit two 3-pointers, Justin B otefuhr scored six p o in ts and B ran d o n S e itz scored five to tie the gam e at 25-25 at the half. Brian Sm ith had four points in the third, but the Rams took a 36-30 lead after three. T he M ustangs cam e back in the fourth though as C huy Elguezabal scored five points, T orres sc o re d fo u r p o in ts including another 3-pointer, Sm ith had four m ore points and S eitz had four p o in ts including two free throws in the final minute to make it 51 -50. The w alk-in’s father and another subject have been verbally fighting for the last few hours and there is a valid restrain in g o rd er in place. He was a history o f taking nitro pills. H e w as currently conscious and breathing and vom iting.
