Jenny Griffith scored 10 points, accepted 40 passes and delivered five hits. Meghan M. But in the second game the visitors came back to win 25-17. In the final game the lone girls played very well and came out on top with a 15-7 w in over W asco. The volleyball B team also had a very good gam e, w ith three very tough games. Mustang JVs shut out Eagles By Rick Paullus The H eppner M ustang JV football team im proved to 2 and 1 on the year with a 22-0 w in over the Wahtonka Eagles on Monday, Sept. 22 in The Dalles. The Mustangs started the year w ith a 42-24 loss to th e R iv e rs id e P ira te s on T h u r s d a y , S e p t. 11 in B oardm an. T he M ustangs held an 18-14 halftime lead on tw o to u c h d o w n r u n s by M atthew VanCleave and one by K o ry P a u llu s, b u t the Pirates rallied with 28 second- half points. The only Mustang score com e on a hitch-and- pitch from K ody Lovgren to P a u llu s fo r a 7 0 - y a r d touchdow n late in the fourth quarter.
