Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Sheriff's Report The M orrow C ounty Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) re ports handling the following business: -M C SO , B oardm an P o lic e a n d F ire d e p ts ., Boardman ambulance received a re p o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that the neighbor’s garage was on fire. -M CSO deputy cited Richard Lee Peterson, 52, for E x c e e d in g th e M ax im u m Speed Limit, 86 m ph in a 65 mph zone. -M C SO receiv ed a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Irrigon regard ing the neighbor’s loud music. -M C S O receiv ed a request for a deputy contact from a caller in lone regarding juveniles wearing bicycle hel mets. -M CSO deputy cited a subject for Failure to Drive w ithin Lane and N o O pera tor’s License. The vehicle was impounded. -M CSO deputy cited Enrique Arias-Velasco, 24, for E x c e e d in g th e M a x im u m Speed Limit, 91 m ph in a 65 mph zone. -M C S O receiv ed a report o f an alarm at a loca tion in Irrigon. One patient was transported to G ood Shep h e rd M e d ic a l C e n te r in Hermiston. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Heppner o f a verbal dispute in progress at a location in Heppner. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller in Irrigon o f loud noise near his resi dence. -M C S O receiv ed a hang-up 911 call. It w as de term ined all was okay. -M CSO deputy cited Eric Calaw ay, 39, for V iola tion o f the Basic Rule, 82 mph in a 55 mph zone. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller in Heppner o f suspicious juveniles in front o f a residence; the ow ner was not at home. -M C SO deputy cited Jesus A lvarez-M ejia, 20, for D riving w hile License Sus- pended/O pen C ontainer and R afael M ejia-M artinez, 21, w as cited for M IR The vehi cle was impounded. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller in Irrigon o f a possible burglary that oc curred earlier. -M C S O d ep u ty re ported a traffic com plaint in Heppner. -M CSO deputy cited Joseph Reese, 18, for C are less D riving/Failure to O bey Traffic Control Device. M a rc h 31: M CSO , Heppner ambulance received a re p o rt from a c a lle r in H eppner that his son cam e hom e intoxicated and was trashing the house. The sub ject com plained o f a possible broken ankle prior to law en forcement arrival, but refused tra n s p o rt to th e h o s p ita l. M athew Looney, 20, was ar rested for Criminal M ischief II, H arassm ent and D isorderly C onduct. He w as lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C S O rec e iv e d a r e p o r t fro m a c a ll e r in Boardman that his neighbor’s dog was loose again and chas ing his horses. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Heppner o f a loud rooster crow ing at night -M C SO , B oardm an am bulance received a report from a caller in Boardman that her one-year-old child had a high temperature for two days. N o transport was made. -M C S O receiv ed a report o f a m edical alarm at a residence in Irrigon. The med ical button was accidentally pushed; all was okay. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e Dept, officer cited a fem ale subject for V iolation o f the Basic Rule, 38 m ph in a 25 mph zone. -M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, received a 911 c a ll fro m a r e s id e n c e in Boardman; the phone was put down but Dispatch could hear a verbal dispute. The parties separated. A p ril 1 : M CSO dep u tie s a r r e s te d J o h n E a rl Watson, 39, on a State Parole Violation. A fter being arrest ed, he com plained o f chest pain and high blood pressure. The patient was taken to Good Shepherd M edical C enter in Hermiston via ambulance to be checked out, then w as trans ported to the Umatilla County Jail. T h e re w ere no local charges at the time. -M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, officer reported an open door at a location in Boardman. There was no one around the location. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Heppner o f a vehicle driving up and dow n streets in Heppner. A deputy w as unable to locate the vehicle. -M C SO , B oardm an P olice and F ire depts. re ceived a report o f a fire alarm at L ogan In te rn a tio n a l in Boardman. An extra patrol o f the area was requested. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller having more problems with the neigh b o r’s sheep in his yard. -M C S O rec e iv e d a relayed report o f a 911 call from Boardman regarding ju veniles clim bing an electrical tow er near the c a lle r’s resi dence. T he juveniles left the area. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from BPD officer o f two small children playing the me ridian o f 1-84 eastbound lanes. A deputy was unable to locate anyone. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e Dept, officer cited Jose Ruben L o p e z , 20, fo r F a ilu re to Seatbelt Child. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e Dept, officer cited John Rich ard Allen, 38, for Violation o f the Basic R ule, 39 m ph in a 25 m ph zone. -M C S O receiv ed a report o f a disabled vehicle on H ighw ay 730 at Patterson Ferry. The occupants w ere given a ride to their residence. A p ril 2: M C SO re ceived a hang-up 911 call from a residence in Irrigon. The subject was last seen at one o f the apart ments. -M C S O , H e p p n e r ambulance received a request for an ambulance from a call er at Blakes Ranch in Heppner for his wife w ho fell o ff a van chairlift out o f a w heelchair onto her head. Jeniece Elaine C ate, 55, was cited for C are less Driving. -M C SO , Irrigon am bulance received a request for an am bulance for a 10-year- old child with a bleeding punc ture w ound to the arm. No transport was made. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller on High way 730 that a large dog was dragging around a dead deer at the sanitation pond. -M C SO , Boardm an P o lic e D ept, re c e iv e d an abandoned 911 call from a lo cation in Boardm an. It was determined that all was okay. -M C SO receiv ed a report from UCSO that Arthur Paul Richards, 38, was arrest ed on a M CSO w arrant for G rand Jury Indictm ent/Sex Abuse I. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M CSO deputy cited C rystal Irene G lass, 36, for D riving w hile License Sus- pended-I, Failure to D isplay Plates and Possession o f Less than One Oz. M arijuana. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e Dept, officer cited Shannon Marie Muir, 34, for Failure to Use Seatbelt (x2). -M C SO , Boardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that a vehicle ran into his driveway and broke the sprinkler line. The resident called back and confirmed there was no emer gency. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller in Heppner that a subject in a vehicle had ju st pushed another subject out o f the vehicle. The subject appeared to be intoxicated. -M C S O receiv ed a 911 hang-up call from a resi dence in Irrigon with a Hispanic female sounding like she was saying “policia”, then hung up. On call-back, the juvenile fe male said she did not call 911, and her mother, who doesn’t speak English, could not con firm. A deputy arrived and confirmed that a juvenile male called by m istake and it was another juvenile in the back ground. N o action was taken. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e D ept, o fficer cited Joseph D uane Reese, 18, for O per ating without the Proper Mud guards. -M C SO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller in Boardman re garding suspicious subjects in a BM W who said they w ere scientists and asking questions about owls and pellets. -M C SO receiv ed a report from a caller that she and other fam ily m em bers w ere w alking along a street w hen a vehicle sw erved to w ard them and the m irror brushed the caller’s arm. -M C SO deputy cited A lbert Jam es Gandy, 38, for D riving w hile License Sus pended-Violation. -M C S O receiv ed a relayed report from Hermiston Police Dept, o f a disabled ve hicle on H ig hw ay 730. A M CSO deputy advised the vehicle was in Umatilla Coun ty and needed additional help; the report w as relayed back to Umatilla County. -M C S O receiv ed a report from A lbany Police D ept, th at T h o m a s A llen Hamman, 36, was arrested on a M orrow County warrant for Parole Violation - Failure to Appear/Felony in Possession o f a Firearm and on a local warrant out o f Albany. He was lodged at the Linn County Jail.
