Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Ione tennis teams host Riverside W CCC Ladies’ Play Day results The Willow Creek Country Club Ladies held th e ir w eek ly Play Day, Tuesday, April 22, with six ladies attending. Low gross of the field w ent to C orol M itchell; low net to Eva Kilkenny and Loa Henderson; and least putts o f the field to Virginia Grant. Low gross for Flight A was taken by L uvilla Sonstegard and for Flight B by Lynnea Sargent. Mitchell had a chip-in on hole #2 and was closest to the line on hole # 1. Kilkenny and Henderson had the longest drive on hole #6; Kilkenny in flight A and Henderson in flight B. Henderson also had a KP on hole #4. MC Unified Recreation District seeks funding proposals Amanda Emery chases down a cross-court hit. The Morrow County Unified Recreation District funds activities each year, for the benefit o f the general community. Those activities ran g e from funding entertainment for celebrations to giving instruction in the arts. Survival increases if trees are healed in now and planted this fell.” Interested people are asked to bring containers such as burlap sacks or garbage bags to protect the trees in transport. The meeting is open to the public. An Executive session will be held according to ORS (192.640(2) at 4:30 p.m. can request funding for their projects. There is no set format for the request, but it should identify the project and the costs associated with the project. The caller would call back if the vehicle wasn’t claimed. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a request for an officer contact from a caller in Boardman regarding her husband not letting her have the children. The couple was fighting and there was a weapon in the house. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a request for an officer contact from a caller in Boardman regarding a suspicious male subject of foreign nationality. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r at Bucknum’s in Heppner o f a break-in to the outside shed that occurred sometime last night -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a report from a caller at the Texaco station that he was having alcohol withdrawals and had very sore feet from walking. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report o f a possible DU 11 on Highway 730. Subject was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -M C SO w as informed that Lyle Eldwin Borud, 49, registered as a sex offender in Morrow County. -MCSO, Boardman PD and ambulance received a report that a 78-year-old female was having trouble breathing and was suffering for nausea and has a history of emphysema. The boy was later found and it was discovered he had went home with a classmate. -MCSO received a report from ADT that a burglar alarm went off at a residence on Patterson Ferry Rd in Irrigon. It was determined all was okay and there was no signs of entry. -B oardm an PD officers arrested Steven Lynn Cox, 46, on a Hermiston w arrant for V iolation o f Release Agreement. Cox was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -M C SO arrested Daniel Joe Hum, 26, on,a Morrow' County warrant for Failure to Appear/Attempting to Elude. Hurn was also arrested on a Umatilla County w arrant for Contem pt o f Court. Hum was lodged at Umatilla County jail. -MCSO received a report from Moon Security that a burglar alarm was activ ated at the Port o f M orrow A d m in istratio n building. It was determined that all was okay and a janitor had set off the alarm. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that she saw five males going through mailboxes in the area. -B oardm an PD received a report from a caller in Boardman that a suspicious pick-up was driving up and down the street and then parked across the street.
