Heppner High School Cheerleaders: Julie Proctor, Codi Rosecrans, Meghan and Madison Bailey, Lindsay Mitchell, Jesse Kempas ____________________ 3-20-lp As a citizen of Lexington, I would like to take this opportu nity to publicly thank the Port of Morrow for its help in making the completion of the water system update possible. In these times of diminishing revenues and diffi- cult-to-obtain grants, such infra structure maintenance is becom ing more out of reach for small towns. And, such maintenance and improvements are necessary in these old systems. The willing ness of the Port of Morrow to help the Town of Lexington with this project has made possible im provements that should serve well into the future. Once again, many thanks for your efforts on a difficult and of ten frustrating project. Al R. Brazell 3-18-lc There are too many people to list to thank for their donations and hard work for the Matheny Chili Feed Benefit last Friday. However, a few people went be yond the call of duty and really made it a great success as well as being a lot of fun: Tanna Padberg, for her fabulous chili, homemade desserts and countless hours she spent preparing it all; Arletha Brannon, for her generous food donations, her help in setup and cleanup, and trips to the store; D ebbie Basile and Janice Huddleston for their much needed help in setting up, cleaning up and keeping everything stocked; Kathy Rauch and her 4-H club, North Lex Livestock, for running the bake sale; all of the employ ees of the Gilliam Bisbee build ing for their generous donations to make the chili feed possible; and the Elks Lodge for allowing us to use their facilities. With everyone’s help it turned out to be a huge success and hopefully will aid Dave’s journey home. Thanks again to each and ev ery one of you! Darcee Mitchell ____________________ 3-20- lc We would like to take this means to thank the ladies of the Methodist Church, the friends of Lorine, and those others who worked; also those who contrib uted food for the dinner.
