McLeod, 77, of Portland, a form a longtime Heppna resident, died Sunday, October 14, 2001 . A memorial service will be held Friday, October 19,2001, at 3 p.m. at Rockwood United Methodist Church, 17805 S.E. Stark, in Portland. Mr. McLeod was bom June 9, 1924, in Grass Valley. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He maimed Mary Farrar in 1946. He was employed by the U.S. Dept, of Agriculture, first in Morrow County until 1977, then at the state office in Portland. Mr. McLeod was a long-standing member of the BPOE, American Legion and a trustee of the Rockwood United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary; sons, Bill McLeod and Dave McLeod; daughters, Fran Kuskie and Debbie Hayes; brotha, Corliss McLeod; sisters, Helen Kruga and Lee Wagenblast; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
