August 8, 2001 Sheriff's Report 1 he Morrow County S h eriffs Office (MCSO) reports handling the following husiness: -MCSO received a report of a \chicle running another \ chicle oft the road b\ \ ( Houghton Elcmeniurv school in Imgon -Ml SO. Oregon State Police received a report of a Hertz rental truck hauling a car and it didn’t look like there were any brake lines going from the truck to the trailer. An officer was requested to observe the truck -Ml S I). Boardman Police I Vpt received a report ot an Si year old woman who had fallen and needed help getting up -Ml SI) revived a report ot an audible alarm at the lire department in Boardman -MCSl) received a report of an audible alarm at the Wilkinson Arena at the lairgrounds in 1 leppner -Ml SI) received a report of a suspicious vehicle that had slowly driven hv a residence in Boardman everv 15-20 minutes since early in the morning. -Ml SO received a report from a deputy that a dead deer on the canal near West ( Hen was smelling. He requested that the West Extension Irrigation remove the deer. -Ml'SO receiv ed a report of a possible lire. It was determined to ne a controlled hum June 22: Ml SO deputy cited a juvenile for MIP-A. No Insurance and failure to Renew Registration. Ihe vehicle was impounded. -Ml SO received a report from the l matilla Police Dept that they received a report of a minivan leav ing the Crossroads truckstop with a male drinking alcohol. -M CSl). Heppner Police Dept receiv ed a report ot two stray dogs at the caller s residence. Ihe caller had contacted the owner but the ow ner wouldn’t take care of the problem -Ml S() receiv ed a report of four bulls out on Highway 207 near the Bombing Range Road. A deputy was unable to locate the cattle or the owner. -Ml SO received a report between a man and the grandfather of the man s seven-vear-old son. The man was punched in the face. The child witnessed the incident. -Ml SO. Boardman ambulance receiv ed a report of a 37-year-old * female who had overdosed on nine . Iara/adones. She was conscious and breathing. Ihe caller wanted that information logged. -Ml SO receiv ed a report of a dog loose on Highway 730 and f ourth Street. Boardman Police Dept, received a report ot a vehicle jiarked in the roadwav on the exit ramp on I-S4 eastbound in Boardman -M l’SO received a report from the Stanfield Police I Apt that I Van in Eattimer. 30. was arrested on a Morrow l ounty Circuit Court warrant for Attempted Manufacture of a l 'ontrolled Substance-l felony and on an Imgon Justice i ourt warrant tor Ihelt III He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail -Ml 'SO. Heppner Police Dept received a request for a welfare check of a child in a residence in Heppner. An officer was unable to locate anyone at the residence -M l'SO. Oregon State Police received a report of a gold colored speeding minivan that passed the caller unsafely -M l’SO receiv ed a rejxirt Irom a caller that he was in a light w ith his girlfriend the previous night at the Deschutes Park I le mistakenly hit her. thinking she was someone else. The information was logged in case someone called about the incident. -M l’SO received a request for the deputy vv ho called the subjects w ife the prev ious day. The subject stated the deputy scared his wife with threats of kidnap charges. -M l’SO. Oregon State Police received a report of a dispute in Imgon. It was a verbal dispute only -M l’SO. Oregon State Police receiv ed a report of a pickup that left the eastbound Boardman rest area with two females drinking beer -Ml'SO received a request for a deputy to check a residence in Imgon I he caller's ex-wife was bringing the children to the residence; the caller was waiting to pick up the children and wanted to avoid a confrontation. -Ml S(). ( Vtcgon I Apt. of forestry received a report of a lightning strike southeast of I onerock. June 19: M l’SO. Imgon ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a 74-year-old woman in Imgon hav ing chest pains and shortness ot breath. The patient was Transported to the Imgon Medical l enter ano then to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hemuston. -Ml SO. The doors were found unsecured but there was no sign o f forced entry and no one was around. The doors were resecured and the alarm reset.
