Nearly 100 years later, the Morrow County Courthouse is the most photographed courthouse in ( (regon and 2002 marks the 100 year anniversary o f the construction o f the courthouse. In recognition o f the courthouse centennial. M orrow County w ill celebrate at com m unity events throughout 2002. T o garner community interest and participation, the Centennial Celebration Committee is showcasing this historic occasion by participating in the 2001 Morrow County Fair and Rodeo w ith an information Fxx>th and entry area tor stories about the construction o f the courthouse and its original contents. Plans tor celebrating the centennial in 2002 include tours, contests, story collection and more. An o ffic ia l proclamation w ill be declared during Heppner's Town and Country Day s in January Tours o f the courthouse w ill be held during the St. Patrick's Day C elebration March 15-17. enhanced for the public w ith musicians. 1900-era fashions and period display pieces. Saxton has now visited with Oregonians in 32 ot the state's 36 counties, gaining additional support fo r his G ubernatorial nom ination. Traveling over 900 miles in live days.
