June 6, 2001 - SEVEN Fair booth committee needed SWCD, Weed Board to meet First graders tour Gazette-Times Morrow County is looking for a group or organization to plan, build and organize a Morrow County fair booth for the Oregon State Fair in Salem. Aug. 23-Sept. 3. This year's theme is "Ain't No Place I'd Rather B e.” Many supplies from prior years' booths are available Former entries have showcased the county's agricultural products A regular board meeting o f the Morrow SW CD/W eed Advisory Board will be held Monday, June 11, at 9 a m. at the Port o f Morrow in Boardman. Agenda items include: Port o f Morrow report, manager report, weed report, agency reports and other business. The meeting is open to the public. and history, the continuing industrial developments and the abounding recreational opportunities Funding is available for supplies and travel. Bcarem*". OR HES first grade visits the G-T Heppner Elementary School first grade students took a tour o f the Heppner Gazette- Times on Tuesday, June 5. Students in teachers Cherry Webber and Sherry Matteson's classes learned about the newspaper and had a digital photograph o f them selves taken for the newspaper. That day the students also visited the Morrow County M useum, the Heppner City Park and the Heppner Cemetery. Besides their teachers they were accom panied by several chaperons. The Morrow County Health Dept, lists its monthly schedule for clinic openings: 'Thursday.
