FOUR - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, March 21, 2001 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff s Office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that she accidentally bumped her window in case the alarm company calls. -BPD received report from a Boardman man that two anti social German shepherd-type dogs were in his yard. -MCSO received report from a subject that his neighbor's dogs keep barking all night and he had to get up early in the morning. -MCSO, BPD received report of a white Mazda car on I- 84 eastbound crossing the center line and all over the road. -MCSO, BPD received report of a vehicle going westbound in the eastbound lane on 1-84. It was an unknown colored SUV. The OSP were unable to locate anything. January 27:M CSO received report of neighbor's dog to the left of caller's residence has been barking all night. Contact made to subject regarding her barking dog and was advised if deputy responds to location again regarding the dog she will be cited. -OSP received report of a cold MVA two miles east of John Day river. Vehicle was over an embankment and nobody was around. -MCSO received report of an abandoned 911 call from Irrigon. Everything was okay upon deputy contact. The caller had misdialed. -HPD received report that caller's dog has gotten loose and someone had shot the dog with a pellet gun. Caller requested an officer. -MCSO, BPD, OSP received report of a naked man running down 1-84 eastbound. Subject's clothing was strewn along the interstate back to a small green pickup. -OSP-Salem arrested Phillip A. Williams, 36, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/DUII. There were no local charges and subject was lodged at Clackamas Co. Jail with $6,000 bail. -MCSO, received request to speak with OSP concerning a situation aabout the Wildlife on the Refuge. Caller had more information. -MCSO cited Desirae Mane Bass, 18, for Forgery II. Topics included the Kinzua power plant, the sale of a building in Heppner and the Kinzua cabinet shop building. 4-H News The Barnyarders By Heather Rill, Reporter The Barnyarders held their third meeting of the year on March 6. The club talked about members participating in the sheep dog tnals, which have already been held. They also talked about donating money to the fair board for doors to put on the bam at the fairgrounds. Bill Jepsen asked the members if they had a place to purchase their pigs. He also told the members another place to purchase pigs, but they would be highly priced because they are fairly good pigs. The club also talked about buying a sign or banner to put up in the Wilkinson Arena that would have the club name on it. The next meeting will be held sometime in late April. Officer unable to locate a problem, but a game was going on. -MCSO received request for a deputy to deliver a message to a subject in Irrigon that her husband in Mexico had died. No further information was given. -HPD received request for ambulance for caller's 51-year old-husband who had complained of chest pains. Subject was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital. January 28: HPD, MCSO received report of three female juveniles seen on Sperry and headed toward Riverside or Union streets in Heppner. Subject said all juveniles were intoxicated and admitted to drinking. The juveniles were located with no smell of alcohol and officer assisted them obtaining gasoline. -BPD arrested John Samuel Williams, 36, on an Irrigon Justice Court Warrant for Failure to Pay Fines/Resi sting with $1,685 bail. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with no additional charges. -MCSO received report that a gray, cabover truck with a canopy on 1-84 eastbound was weaving. The vehicle was located at eastbound rest stop. There was no DUII. -MCSO received report that a green, 98 Chevy, four-door, was left on the south side of the assistance center in Irrigon. -MCSO received report of a vehicle near the gram elevators in Lexington circling around the area for the past 10 minutes. Officer was unable to locate anything. -OSP received report of a white, Toyota Celica going 85 or plus and weaving on 1-84. -BPD received report of someone lighting fireworks in the Dodge City Motel parking lot. -BPD received report of two dogs tied to a post since the previous night at the 76-Station in Boardman. -BPD received another report of two dogs tied to a post since the previous night. -MCSO received request for officer contact regarding a rock that flew up from another vehicle and broke caller's windsheild. -MCSO, OSP receivied report of a green, two door sedan on 1-84 eastbound with no tail lights. Vehicle almost caused an accident. -Heppner Police Departmant, MCSO received report of a silver vehicle partially blocking caller's driveway. No one was around, so caller requested officer. Officer advised owner of vehicle blocking to return to move the vehicle. January 2 9 :Irngon Ambulance, Boarman Ambulance, MCSO received request for ambulance for caller who was having breathing problems/racing heart and pain in her abdomen. Imgon Ambulance was unable to transport. Boardman Ambulance was contacted and she was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital. -BPD received report that caller left his wallet at Boardman Texaco on the counter. Caller requests officer lodge property until he is able to pick it up. Deputy was unable to locate the wallet. Deputy was unable to locate anything. -MCSO received report that a "strange subject" was in town and possibly staying at the Heppner motel. The reason for the anonymous caller's suspicion was unknown. -MCSO received report that an unknown subject removed the phone line from an outbuilding on caller's property. The caller confirmed with the phone company no work is being done in that area. -Irrigon Ambulance, MCSO received request for ambulance concerning caller's 84-year-old wife having chest pain. She had just taken heart medication. -BPD received report that a group of subjects had attempted to cash a check the caller had written to Morrow County. Caller requested land line contact. -BPD received report that a group of teenagers were playing loud music in the driveway. Subjects had been asked to quiet down, but turned the music back up. The caller did not want to sign a complaint. -BPD arrested Jose Luis Gaeta, 22, on a Umatilla County Circuit Court Warrant for Failure to Appear/Robbery III, Theft II. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $20,000 bail. He was also cited for Failure To Appear/Disorderly Conduct, Providing False Info to Police. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that her husband was at the location without permission. Caller and subject have been separated for several weeks with no restraining order involved. Caller requested that subject be advised to leave. -MCSO received report of a tow truck attempting to take caller's mom's vehicle in Boardman. Caller’s family is en route and caller stated there is usually a dispute, and requested officer presence. Tow truck declined towing after contacted by officer. Parties were advised it was a civil matter. -MCSO received report that a subject flagged down a deputy in Imgon. Subject then became agitated with deputy and then stated they were harassing him. A request for assistance for officer's safety was made. Subject appeared disturbed. -MCSO received report that a repo company was attempting to repo a trailer and subjects wouldn't let him. -MCSO received report of a possible abandoned dog lying in the roadway. -MCSO received report of two stop signs down in Boardman. Wallet was recovered. February 4: BPD received report that caller's residence had just been "egged" and she would like an officer to locate the subjects who did this. Caller did not want contact. -BPD received report of an open door at Riverside High School building. Officer advised and responded to secure the door. -BPD received report of a subject running around ringing people's door bells. Juvenile subjects found, cited for curfew violation and released. MCSO received report of a stop sign down in Boardman. Morrow County Road Dept, was contacted. -MCSO received report of a loose white and brown paint horse in Boardman. -MCSO received request for contact regarding a break-in that occured the previous night or the night before in caller's shed. -BPD received report of a stop sign down. Caller put sign back up and requested that Morrow County Road Dept, be notified to repair it properly, recheck the other sign down and check area for other signs down. -BPD received report that owner be notified of cow out on Wilson Road. -BPD received report that the caller has been receiving faxes from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a runaway from Boardman. Caller wanted to be taken off the center's fax list and he said the center wouldn't do it. -OSP received request for contact regarding two subjects arguing and causing a disturbance all day. It was unknown if they are in their residence. Alcohol was possibly involved. Subjects were both located and no action was taken. -City of Irrigon received a message on the phone regarding a broken waterline. Caller didn't leave name or address. The city called to see if the Sheriffs Office had received any calls. Caller called back and advised the location. -OSP received report of a yellow semi pulling one trailer going 80 mph-plus on 1-84 westbound. -MCSO received a 911 call. It was a child playing on the phone. MCSO spoke with the child's mother. -MCSO received report of a loud party in Irrigon. Caller advised that drugs were possibly being used at the party. A deputy advised the residence regarding noise, but was unable to make entry for search. February 5: BPD cited a juvenile for a curfew violation. -MCSO received report that caller heared an unknown subject breaking into her back bedroom. The subject was identified and caller requested that the deputy disregard. Valid no contact order exists between caller and subject, so deputy continued. Caller declined search of her residence. -Heppner Ambulance, Lexington EMT received request for ambulance for 25-year-old female who was four months pregnant and bleeding heavily. One subject transported to Pioneer Memonal Hospital. -MCSO received report of four yearling-size calves in caller's yard. It was unknown who owned the calves. -MCSO received report of a 3-1/2 year old girl bitten by a dog in Imgon. -MCSO received request for officer from the Umatilla Tribal PD to attempt to locate a subject who was a runaway. -MCSO received report of an unattended death. February 6: BPD received report of a vicious Rottweiler running loose. Problem was resolved.
