Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, March 8, 2000 Health District shows financial improvement The Morrow County Health District showed major financial improvement for the month of February, administrator Victor Vander Does told the board of directors at its last meeting Feb 28. Vander Does said the district's revenues were up substantially in February and that by the end of the year the district should have a lot of its bills paid up. He said tax money will be coming into the district in November, and that, coupled with the fact the new doctor will be here by then. hospital. Vander Does also reported on the CAT scan project, saying new construction to house the equipment should be completed in July. He said the CAT scan will "more that break even" and will be a money maker for the Little League workday set Heppner Little League will hold their spring clean-up day at the George Waterland field on Satur day, March 11 beginning at 1 p.m. in preparation of the upcoming baseball season. Pioneer Memorial Hospital Heppner, OR Morrow County Health Dis trict (MCHD) is requesting proposals, which includes Qualifi cations and Invitation To Bid, for the remodeling/interior alterations of Pioneer Memorial Hospital. Sealed proposals from qualified construction companies will be received until 3:00PM, April 6, 2000 . The work includes approxi mately 3,600 SF of interior remodeling consisting of a new CT Scan, Pharmacy, Emergency Department and other support functions.
