Due to an ommission in the church volunteer list, no church group was there to help. Three other volunteers helped out. The menu for Sept 15 will be company beans (hamburger and bacon), potato salad, carrot sticks, fruit salad, rolls and walnut pie. Members of the First Christian Church will serve. Five or six ladies exercise regularly on Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a m. Pinochle is played Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy these activities. Movies are being shown again ori Sunday at 7 p.m. and there is always a jigsaw puzzle to work on while you visit. A senior bus will be going to Pendleton for the Dress-Up Parade and dinner on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 3 p.m. Sign up at the senior center office. A "55 Alive" class will be held at the Senior Center dining room Sept 20-21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a good time to brush up on driving skills and get a reduction on car insurance. Engagement Evans - Miller Keisie Evans and Mick Miller The parents o f Keisie Evans and Mick Miller have announced their engagement to be married. Keisie is the daughter of Wayne and Su san Evans o f Riley. Mick is the son o f Mary Lehman, Bums, and John Miller, Crane. The bride-elect graduated from Heppner High School in 1995 and from the University of Oregon in June, 1999. She is employed by Harney County Operations, Inc., Hines, as a cost accountant. The groom-elect graduated from Crane High School in 1994. He is employed by Silver Creek Ranches in Riley. The couple plan a September 25, 1999 wedding at Silver Creek Ranch. M C Health Dept.
