TWO - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, June 2,1999 Sheriff s Report The Morrow County Sheriff s Office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: . MCSO received a request for a deputy from an Imgon man who reported dogs in his garden. MCSO received a report from a man who said two men ap proached him asking about work and one appeared intoxicated. MCSO received a request for information as to why officers are not enforcing a “no through traf fic” sign. MCSO deputy cited a man for following too close. MCSO received a report of a large piece of shelving that had fallen into the road. MCSO received a report o f a residence egged in Imgon. MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f a fight in progress (no w eapons) at Bucknum's Tavern in Heppner. MCSO received a report that the laundry at St. Patrick's Senior Center isn’t working. MCSO received a report of an abandoned vehicle in Boardman. MCSO, Boardman Police and Fire depts. received a report of a garage on fire in Boardman. It was a work bench on fire. The fire was out upon arrival. MCSO received a report o f a person with a revoked driver’s li cense driving around lone. Offic ers were unable to locate the per son. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report o f a male subject arguing and refusing to leave the Outback Apts. It was a complaint about music which was handled civilly. MCSO received a report o f a male calling a woman’s residence against his restraining order. M ay 18: MCSO, Boardman Police Dept., Boardman ambu lance received a report o f a man not breathing at the Econo-Lodge in Boardman. The man was found to be breathing but unconscious. He was intoxicated and refused transport. Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a neighbor that a man was making noise and had a flashlight at his home. They also reported that a car had hit their car as it was backing around. The car was not hit, it was just close. MCSO received a report o f a call soliciting money for the Ore gon State Police to raise money for Columbine High School and for officer training. They were ad vised that the OSP Association was not soliciting funds. MCSO received a report of a possible drunk driver near Irrigon on Highway 730. Morrow County Road Dept, received a report that all five road name signs that say “Kilkenny” had been stolen from the North Lexington Elevator and the stop sign at the Kilkenny Road broken off. MCSO, Services to Children and Families and Boardman Po lice Dept, received a report of fighting and screaming at Outback Apts, and people getting physical. Robert William Strong, 32, and Gina Marie Strong, 31, were ar rested for Assault IV Domestic with a Child Present. Both were lodged at the UCSO jail. MCSO received a report o f kids riding go-carts on the caller’s property and another complaint that the go-carts were noisy. Oregon State Police received a report o f a naked male subject flashing the eastbound traffic on 1-84 north o f Jack’s Fine Foods in Biggs. M CSO , B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report o f a male subject yelling at a female who wouldn’t let him in to get his stuff; the man sounded intoxicated. M ay 19: Boardm an Police Dept, received a request for a barking dog that has been an on going problem. Oregon State Police, Board- man Police and Fire dept, and Rescue received a report o f a single vehicle rollover on Tower Road. An officer was unable to locate any persons. MCSO received a request for a deputy at Colum bia Middle School for marijuana confiscated. A 14 year old was cited for MIP- Tobacco. M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept., Boardman ambulance re ceived a report from a man that his wife was the one involved in the earlier accident and requested an EMT to look her over. One female patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hos pital m Hermiston. Oregon State Police received a report from Good Shepherd Community Hospital that alcohol was involved in the earlier acci dent. MCSO received a request for a deputy concerning tampering with a big lawn mower in lone. MCSO received a report of a male looking through windows and digging through dirt in a vacant trailer in Boardman. MCSO received a request for a deputy at A.C. Houghton Ele mentary to speak with the princi pal regarding a juvenile concern ing postal matters. MCSO received a report of a neighbor’s dog running loose in Imgon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of kids setting up a bike ramp in Boardman at a con struction site that could be a haz ard. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of someone running into a car while parked at Central Market in Heppner. MCSO received a request for a deputy from a woman in Imgon who said her son and daughter were driving vehicles and are un derage. MCSO received a report of a dog chasing cows in Heppner. MCSO received a report of a family problem in Heppner. M ay 20: Boardman Police Dept, cited Leodegano Sausedo Campos, 42, for No Operator’s License and Open Container. Oregon State Police, ODOT received a report of two dogs, one injured or dead and one alive, in Boardman. MCSO received a report from an Imgon man that his 17 year old daughter was missing after a fight with her parents. Her bed room window was open and she was gone. The father later re ported that they heard from her; she was in Kennewick and was okay. MCSO received a request for a deputy regarding a situation with a home health nurse. Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f an 18-19 year old girl believed to be using drugs. The girl said she was smoking a ciga rette. MCSO received a report o f garbage dum ped on N evada Street in Irrigon. MCSO received a report o f a male driving recklessly and almost causing a wreck in Heppner. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a male entering a house uninvited and without knocking. M CSO, B oardm an P o lic e Dept, received a report that a fe male needed to get her purse and other th in g s from h er ex- husband’s residence. MCSO received a report o f a boat at the Imgon Marina with a window broken out. MCSO received a report from an Irrigon man that his cousin or dered things from J.C. Penney’s on his account. Boardman Police Dept, ar rested Kevin Von Scherrer, 45, for Assault IV Domestic Felony, Bur glary I, Criminal Trespass II, three counts of Menacing and Kidnap II. Von Scherrer was lodged at the UCSOjail. MCSO received a report o f two car prowlers at the Outback Apts, in Boardman. Oregon State Police received a report of a very large black bear sitting in the median on 1-84 mile post 135. MCSO received a report o f kids taking a stereo out of a car at Columbia View Apts., Boardman. MCSO received a report of a theft in Boardman; a man was following who he believed were the suspects. MCSO received a report from a woman that a male called her grandson, cursing and threatening him. MCSO received a report o f someone driving through die park in lone. MCSO received a report from a woman of toilet paper and other toiletries used to accessorize a car and her son’s bedroom window in Riverview Trailer Court in Irrigon. MCSO received a report o f a wallet, believed to belong to a biker, that flew out o f a car win dow. The caller said she would attempt to return it to the subject 1 at lone. MCSO received a report o f two little dogs left for a week with no food after a subject moved. The subject’s daughter was still there with the dogs. lone EMTs, Heppner ambu lance receiv ed a report o f a woman in lone who had fallen. She was conscious and had pos sible broken fingers and pain in her ribs. The patient was trans ported to Pioneer Memorial Hos pital in Heppner. Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f dogs chasing bike rac ers. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a man who had fallen out of his wheel chair outside St. Patrick’s Senior Center in Hepp ner. Heppner ambulance, Air Life received a report o f a bike racer who had fallen at Social Ridge and C lark’s Canyon and had a se verely injured arm. The patient was transported to Pioneer Me morial Hospital in Heppner. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report o f a missing per son lo cated at a sh e lte r in Pocatello, ID. MCSO deputy assisted with traffic control for the bike race. MCSO received a report o f a broken window in a vehicle in Irrigon. Heppner Police Dept, received a re p o rt o f a big p arty at a neighbor’s house. Boardm an Police Dept, re ceived a report from a woman that her purse was missing and she had been contacted by Discover that someone used her credit card to make three phone calls. MCSO received a report of a high speed erratic driver with 4-5 males in the vehicle. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle. MCSO received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the caller’s driveway in Irrigon. It turned out to be the neighbor’s vehicle. M CSO , B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report of an open window at Sam Boardman El ementary. MCSO received a report from a woman that she was uncomfort able with a male subject at her home in Irrigon. M CSO , B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report o f four juveniles in dark clothing opening cars in Boardman. M ay 22: MCSO cited Faith Arleen Brecht, 40, for DUII/Driv- ing w hile License Suspended Felony. Brecht was lodged at UCSO on Columbia County war rants for Assault IV and Failure to Appear/Assault IV. MCSO received a report of bathrooms and picnic tables van dalized and boats cut loose at the Irrigon Marina. All the boats were recovered. MCSO received a report o f serious vandalism at Strebin Farms. MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding boats cut loose. Oregon State Police and Hepp ner Police Dept, received a re port o f one o f the bike racer’s vehicle’s windows broken out. Boardman ambulance received a report of a man who is hypogly cemic, weak and shaky. He de nied transport. Heppner and lone Fire depts. received a report of a grass fire with a structure threatened off Baseline Road. MCSO received a report o f windows broken in a office at Columbia Middle School in Irrigon. MCSO received a report of a vehicle with a window broken out in Imgon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a burglary alarm at a Boardman residence. MCSO deputy arrested Heri- berto Prado Gutierrez, 26, for Pos session on a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Providing False Information to a Police Of ficer, Unlawful Possession o f a Firearm. Gutierrez was lodged at UCSOjail. MCSO received a report o f a custody problem in Irrigon. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for more information regarding the bike racer’s vehicle that was damaged. M CSO , B oardm an P o lice Dept, received a report o f a pos sible drunk driver on Highway 730. An officer was unable to locate anyone. Oregon State Police received a report o f a semi speeding in Irrigon. M CSO, B oardm an P o lice Dept, received a report o f a man coming out o f the bushes and throwing rocks at vehicles on I- 84, '/,-y« m ile w est o f the Boardman exit. An officer was unable to locate anyone. MCSO received a report o f water over the road on Kunze Road. MCSO received a report o f a cow out on Wilson Road. MCSO received a report o f neighbor’s kids throwing rocks at a Rottweiler. MCSO received a report o f a window broken out o f a pickup in Irrigon. The neighbors saw the vehicle but didn’t get a license plate number. M ay 23: Boardm an Police Dept, received a report o f two suspicious vehicles at a neighbor’s who are out o f town. Heppner ambulance received a report of a woman having com plications with dialysis. The patient was transported to Pioneer Me morial Hospital in Heppner. MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report o f a reckless driver eastbound on 1-84 who was driving at a high rate o f speed and swerving. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle. MCSO received a report o f tw o m ale su b je c ts at the Boardman Refuge with a bag, possibly stealing eggs or messing with nests. MCSO received a report o f a window broken out o f a pickup in Irrigon. Boardm an Police Dept, re ceived a report o f vandalism at a residence in Boardman. Boardm an Police Dept, re ceived a report o f a house getting a lot of water from the neighbor’s. MCSO received a report o f someone attempting a to break into a truck in Irrigon. H eppner am b u lan ce, lone EMTs received a report of a man who possibly had a heart attack and who might be deceased. The man, conscious but having trouble breathing, was transported to Pio neer Memorial Hospital in Hepp ner. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of someone running into the back o f another vehicle. No injuries occurred. MCSO received a report o f vandalism at A.C. Houghton El ementary. MCSO deputy cited Eulalio Silva, 24, for DUII. He was also arrested on a Umatilla County warrant for Failure to Appear/ Reckless Driving, Attempting to Elude and three counts o f Assault IV. Silva was lodged at the UCSO jail. MCSO received a report of a pickup speeding in Boardman. MCSO received a request for a deputy co n cern in g “gang bangers” following a female home from McNary beach. M CSO , B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report o f a bur glar alarm at K egler’s Sentry Market. M ay 24: Oregon State Police and Gilliam County S heriffs Of fice received a report o f a hos tage situation at the Linden Air Base. A male subject had his m other at her resid en ce and threatened to shoot her in the face. The suspect left the residence and the victim, who was okay, refused to leave her residence. Oregon State Police arrested David Lloyd Kelley, 45, on a Mor row County warrant for Assault IV, Menacing and Harassment. Kelley was lodged at the UCSO jail. M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report of a ver bal domestic dispute between a man and his 17 year old son. The son was reported to be intoxi cated. M CSO received a report of more vandalism at A.C. Hough ton Elementary, with broken win dows. MCSO received a report from a man that someone tried to steal his stereo out of his pickup. Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a 78 year old female with a possible broken hip. MCSO received a report from a woman in Irrigon that while her kids were out playing with their puppy, the neighbor shot it with a BB gun. MCSO received a report from a male that his neighbor’s tires had been flattened and there were good prints. MCSO received three 911 calls, one right after another. They were traced to the Boardman rest area. An officer was unable to locate anyone. MCSO received a report from a woman in Irrigon that her two year old daughter was in her car seat locked in the car with the engine running and the air condi tioner on. MCSO and Boardman Police D ept, receiv ed a request for backup for an Oregon State Po lice trooper in an unmarked car on 1-84 for a possible DUII. MCSO received a report from a man that a UPS truck ran over his dog in Boardman and didn’t stop. M C SO , B oardm an P olice Dept, received a report of a do mestic dispute in Imgon. Roberto Orozco, 26, Boardman, was ar rested for Assault IV Domestic and was lodged at the UCSOjail. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a vehicle bro ken into and a stereo taken the previous night. Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a man in Heppner that he had just chased kids off his property. They had put a bath tub that he had outside into the creek beside his house. MCSO received a request for a deputy concerning a criminal mischief case at A.C. Houghton Elementary. A female said she had information about possible sus pects. MCSO received a report o f goats out in Boardman. The goats returned home. MCSO received a request for a deputy at A.C. Houghton. The caller said he received a tip con cerning vandalism. MCSO received a report of a suspicious vehicle following an other vehicle on Kunze Road in Boardman. The vehicle headed into Boardman. M ay 25: MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a 40 year old male suffering from severe ab dominal pain, chest pains and chills. The patient was transported r f f f l SB ^ ■ ap. m :!» to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. MCSO deputy located cows out in Boardman and put them into a nearby pasture. MCSO received a report o f shaving cream and k etch u p smeared all over a van in lone. MCSO received a repprt from a woman that her husband had just called her and asked her to ad vise the MCSO that he had just totalled his vehicle. It was a non- mjury, non-blocking accident. MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a report o f a man down on the upper deck at the Lamb- Weston plant with unknown inju ries. Heppner ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a woman who fell and hurt her hip. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Her miston. MCSO received a report o f an accident in Irrigon. MCSO received a report o f a rock thrown through a window at an Irrigon address. MCSO received a report from a man in Irrigon that there is a dead cat in his yard and he doesn’t know who the owner is. MCSO received a report from a woman on Highway 74 that som eone’s sheep were on her property. Boardm an Police Dept, re ceived a report of possible drug dealing in the Marina Park and the caller requested an officer to drive through. MCSO received a report o f goats out in Boardman. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived information on a stolen phone card case. Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f two vehicles with people in cars handing off what looked like beer, but the caller wasn’t positive. One drove off toward the elementary school and the other toward Quaid Street. Heppner ambulance received a request for an ambulance for an 86 year old man recently released from a hospital who was bleeding from a catheter in his neck and the bleeding won’t stop. The pa tient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. MCSO received a report of a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix stolen in Boardman. MCSO received a report from a woman in Boardman that an other woman has been leaving her 15 year old daughter alone and without food and the girl has come by her residence looking for food. M CSO , B oardm an P o lice Dept, received a report from a female subject that her mother’s boyfriend threatened her and her mother and was yelling and hit ting the walls. M ay 26: Boardman Police and Fire depts. received a report o f a fire alarm at Logan International. The alarm was false. Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a man that some one had attempted to break into his home the previous night, with the screen door tom. The man said he believed his dogs scared them away. Oregon State Police received a report of an erratic driver on I- 84 westbound, driving 85-90 mph, passing, slowing down and speed ing up to pass again. a .
