Curtis completed his bachelor's degree in anthropology at Oregon State University. He also completed a master of arts degree in East Asian studies from Stanford University. While at the Institute, he completed a thesis project translating excerpts from the book Nihon no Zais (The Japanese Tax System). While at the institute, Curtis was a linguistic intern at Omega International, a translation and localization firm. He hopes to work as an editor and translator for a research institution in East Asia. Curtis is the son of Rick and Liz Curtis, formerly of Heppner. The hearing will take place on the 14th day of June, 1999 at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the budget with interested persons.
