The person had allegedly been going 100+ mph and hitting the guardrail before Arlington. Boardman Police Dept, backed up the deputy. Tommie Lee Thomas, 34, was cited for Driving while Licensed Suspended Felony. MCSO received a report of a six year old who had not returned home in Lexington by 9:27. He was last seen at 4 p.m.; he said he was going to the creek. The boy was located April 19: MCSO received a report of a blood-soaked towel behind a refrigerator in Irrigon. The caller requested a deputy to look at it. MCSO received a report of a person driving who is legally blind. MCSO received a report of the shed next the bathroom at the lone City Park vandalized. Oregon State Police received a report of a van weaving all over the road. MCSO received a report of a 12 year old assaulted at a school. Larry Dean Cook, 20, was ar rested by Cottage Grove Police on a Heppner Justice Court war rant for Theft II and Failure to Appear. MCSO received a report of a herd of cattle on Highway 206 (Heppner-Condon Highway). MCSO received a report of a possible drunk driver on Highway 730 towards Boardman. A per son reported that the vehicle was moving really slow, going 40 in a 55 mph zone. The driver threw a beer can at him. An officer was unable to locate anyone. MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a stu dent at Riversida High School threatening to make “Riverside look like Denver.” The juvenile was in the principal’s office. The man was pronounced dead at Good Shepherd Commu nity Hospital in Hermiston. April 25: MCSO received a report of kids being loud and go ing in and out of a residence in Lexington. The kids left before officers arrived. MCSO deputy cited Luis Efran Peralta, 27, for DUII. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of loud music at a Boardman residence. One person was cited for Disorderly Conduct. Boardman Police Dept, ar rested Halid Velic, 24, for DUII. MCSO received a report of a kitchen window broken during the night in Imgon. MCSO deputy arrested Enrique Henry Cuevas Reyes, 26, on an Imgon Justice Court war rant for Failure to Appear/Con- cealed Weapon. He was lodged at the UCSOjail. Lincoln City officers arrested David C. Robertson, 38, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear on a citation with Underlying Cause of Driv ing while License Suspended. BMCC, CAPECO to offer corrections course Blue Mountain Community College, Community Action Program East Central Oregon and the Oregon Department of Corrections are again teaming together to offer "Careers in the Oregon Department of Corrections" (CODOC). CODOC is a short-term training opportunity to be held in Pendleton at the Umatilla County Criminal Justice Center (new county jail). The intent of the training is to prepare participants for formal application for employment with the Department of Corrections. The focus is general and is for persons interested in positions in any capacity, including food service, maintenance, medical service, clerical or corrections officers. The training will begin on Monday, June 7, and end on July 9. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. with a lunch break. The application process begins immediately and must be completed by May 24. Participants must be at least 21 • years of age and are expected to complete the following: a CODOC application; an ASSET placement test at BMCC's Pendleton campus ( the test is offered on Monday or Thursday at 9 a.m. and there is a $10 testing fee); a drug screening test; a background check; and confirmation of a high school diploma or GED certificate. Admission to the program will include an orientation/interview with a panel of correctional personnel. Included with the training is integrated work experience. The work experience is held in a "secure correctional setting”. Students will have direct inmate contact under supervision of correctional staff as assigned at area facilities. Cost for the five week program is $555 and students who successfully complete the program will receive a Blue Mountain Community College certificate of completion.
