The Morrow County Sheriffs office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: March 23: Heppner Police Dept, responded to a Heppner residence to have the occupants turn down their stereo as it was waking the neighbors. Heppner Fire and Police depts. received a report of a fire at the Heppner High School track. It was a controlled bum. Oregon State Police received a report of a green Ford pickup taking gravel from the county gravel pile at Wilson and Bomb ing Range roads. MCSO received a report of an injured cat under a house in Irrigon. MCSO, Boardman Police and Fire depts. received a report of an out-of-control bum at Paul Smith and Kunze roads near an orchard and fiberglass tanks. MCSO received a report of someone in a vehicle throwing a rock through a window at an Irrigon residence. MCSO received a report of a vehicle dumping garbage at a cabin. Oregon State Police officer arrested Terry Lynn Jones, 36, on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Burglary I, Theft II, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Jones was lodged at the UCSO jail with a hold for Mor row County. MCSO received a report from a woman in lone that her neigh bors were intoxicated and block ing the street so traffic had to go around them. MCSO deputy gave a man who ran out of gasoline a ride into a eastbound rest area. The man, Patrick Drew Rufty, 39, was ar rested on a UCSO warrant for Failure to Appear/Driving while under the Influence of Intoxicants. Rufty was lodged at the UCSO jail. M arch 24; MCSO and the Morrow County Road Dept, re ceived a report of a sign down at Wilson and Miller streets. MCSO received a report from a woman that her vehicle had two flat tires and she thinks she knows r who did it. MCSO received a report of a man going to a neighbor’s house in Irrigon and being verbally abu sive. MCSO, Heppner Police Dept., Heppner ambulance received a report of an 86 year old female at St. Pat’s Senior Center who fell down in the shower. She was con scious but not very alert and un able to get up. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. Oregon State Police received a report of a black Bronco with a female driver and three unbelted juvenile passengers who was driv ing erratically on 1-84, speeding up and slowing down. MCSO received a report of items stolen out of a motorhome some time in October. Oregon State Police received a report o f an alarm at A.C. Houghton Elementary in Imgon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request to speak to an officer from a woman at the Boardman Texaco station. Oregon State Police received a report from an Imgon woman that her daughter was run off the road and then the subjects fol lowed her to an unknown resi dence. The daughter was unwill ing to talk. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for an officer from two Marines at the Nomad in Boardman. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request for an officer concerning information about a funeral. MCSO received a report of a suspicious vehicle that comes and goes in Irrigon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report that three juveniles took a street sign at Mt. Adams and Faler in Boardman. An of ficer was unable to locate anyone. MCSO received a report from a woman in lone that she was being harassed by a man and a woman in person and on the phone. March 25: MCSO received a report of a suspicious vehicle that comes and goes and sits without its lights on in Irrigon. MCSO received a report of a truck parked at the city park that was running and keeping people awake. MCSO received a report from a woman that a man was dump ing dead cows and not burying them. The cows were starting to stink and were attracting coyotes. MCSO received a report from a woman concerned about her son spending spring break with his dad in Irrigon. MCSO received a call from an uncle in the previous entry con cerned about trouble. Dallas Police Dept, arrested Michael L. King, 29, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Driving while License Suspended. King was lodged at the Polk County jail with a hold for Morrow County. Boardman Police Dept., Boardman ambulance received a request for a 67 year old man who was conscious and breathing, but who was down and vomiting blood. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a do mestic situation between the caller’s aunt and uncle. MCSO received a request for an officer from a woman who said her nine year old son was out of control. Oregon State Police received a report of an erratic driver on I- 84 westbound. MCSO, Irrigon ambulance re ceived a report of a 34 year old man having seizures, but who was conscious and breathing. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of an alarm at a Boardman residence. March 26: Boardman Police Dept, received a report of two kids in a Taurus squealing around and leaving marks at the Boardman BP station. One of them threat ened a person at the station. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a loud party. The person reporting the party said when he knocked on the door, he could smell marijuana. Officers responded to the report. MCSO received a report of three horses out on Hinton Creek. The owner corralled them. MCSO received a report of a door at Brown’s BP station in Irrigon forced open. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of four boys throwing rocks at the cemetery. MCSO received a report from someone in Heppner who said they received a call from a per son claiming they were fund rais ing for the Oregon State Police. Someone from OSP said it was not a number they would be us- WOU releases honor roll A total of 121 students has been named to the president's List and another 626 students have been named to the honor roll for winter term 1999 at Western Oregon University. President's List students achieved a perfect 4.0 grade- point average, while Honor Roll students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average. WOU, with an enrollment of more than 4,000 students, is a four-year, liberal arts university within the Oregon University System. Local honor students include: Mark A. Medel, Imgon. Heppner Elementary spring program May 18 The Heppner Elementary School spring music program, featuring band and vocal students in kindergarten through sixth grade, will be held Tuesday, May 18, beginning at 7 p.m. Registration for incoming kindergarten students will be held Thursday, May 20, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Outdoor school at Tupper for HES and lone sixth graders will be next week, Monday May 10, through Thursday, May 13. I mg. Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a woman in Hepp ner that their neighbor’s puppy barks all the time and she had made contact with the owner about it previously. MCSO received a report of a burglar alarm at A.C. Houghton Elementary in Irrigon. It was a false alarm. MCSO received information concerning a funeral procession that will travel from Hermijton to Imgon. MCSO deputy arrested Rob ert G. Morley, 30, on a UCSO warrant for Failure to Appear/ Possession of a Controlled Sub stance and Carrying a Weapon. Morley was transported to the UCSO jail. MCSO received a report of a stolen cell phone. MCSO received a report of a burglar alarm in Irrigon. The build ing was secure. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a woman at Yaw’s in Heppner who would not leave. MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a possible domestic situation in Heppner. The parties were separated for the night. March 27: Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a man who said his neighbor arrived home and the trunk to her vehicle is still open several hours later, plus her front door is still ajar and no one answers. Everything was okay. MCSO and Boardman ambu lance received a report of a 41 year old man who was having sei zures. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a Coke machine broken into at the Sentry Market in Boardman. Heppner Police Dept, received a request for the police to see if there were any warrants on a woman who was requesting aid. MCSO received a report of kids throwing pop bottles at cars ne^r the BP station in Boardman. MCSO received a report of possible items stolen from rental property fnlm'goh. Boardman Fire Dept, received a report of a structure fire in Boardman. It was not a structure fire but was an illegal bum. MCSO received a report of harassing phone calls and some one entering a house and chang ing the answering machine mes sage. MCSO received a report of a runaway juvenile in Irrigon. March 28: Heppner Police Dept, received information from a woman that in the event of a medical emergency involving her children, she will be partying and spending the night in a residence by the creek. The children were with their father. Heppner Police Dept, received more information from the above mentioned woman who called back and said she would stay at the dam because a person at the previously mentioned house wouldn’t let her stay there. MCSO deputy cited Jose H. Fernandez, 65, for Driving under • the Influence of Intoxicants. MCSO received a request to deliver a message of a death in the family to a Boardman man. Oregon State Police received a report of a vehicle driving er ratically. MCSO received a report of someone locked out of their ve hicle in Heppner. Someone was called to assist. MCSO, Oregon State Police, Boardman Fire Dept., Boardman ambulance received a report of a motor vehicle accident. Two or more patients were transported to Good Shepherd Community Hos pital in Hermiston. MCSO, Morrow County Road Dept, received a report of hay lay ing on the side of the road for the last three days and the caller wanted to know if she could have it. MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept, received a report of heavy smoke on Kunze Road in Boardman. A brush fire threatened structures. MCSO, Irrigon ambulance re ceived a report of an elderly fe male unconscious and non-re- sponsive. The patient was trans ported to Good Shepherd Commu nity Hospital in Hermiston. March 29: Boardman Police Dept received a request for an J , ' : officer to accompany a person at an apartment complex to an apart ment where the music was too loud. MCSO received a report of vandalism at Columbia Middle School in Imgon with a library window broken. Oregon State Police, Heppner Police and Fire depts. responded to a report of a fire at a residence on Highway 207. The fire was coming out of the roof. MCSO deputy arrested Paul Lynn Brazeau, 36, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Theft II. MCSO received a report from a woman that her ex-husband was harassing her by phone. Oregon State Police officer arrested Larry Allen Perrin, 22, on a MCSO warrant for Posses sion of a Controlled Substance, Parole Violation/Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Pa role Violation/Burglary II. Perrin was lodged at the UCSO jail. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a subject left alone at home who shouldn’t be. A 12 year old was with him. MCSO received a report from an Irrigon woman that her 10 year old son was chased by three teen agers in a black full-size 4x4 in the turkey shoots. The 4x4 ran over a child’s bike as they were fleeing. MCSO received a request from UCSO that they check a resi dence in Irrigon for two missing juveniles. A 16 year old juvenile was confirmed as missing and turned over to her parents. MCSO received a report of a verbal argument in Irrigon. MCSO deputy assisted the Irrigon ambulance for an 11 year old with possible appendicitis. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Heppner by ambulance. March 30: Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a two- way portable handheld radio sto len in the Boardman area. Heppner ambulance received a report of a female in her 70s who had fallen. The patient was transported to. Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. . ^,, MCSQ received a report,of a domestic dispute at the Riverview Trailer Court in Irrigon. The of ficer was unable to locate anyone. One person left on foot and an other in a car. MCSO received a report of a dog hit in Irrigon. The dog was put down. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of juveniles in an open field in Boardman with a bonfire going and either beer cans or paint cans in their hands. Heppner Fire Dept, received a report of a controlled bum that had rekindled. MCSO received a report of a Chevy Corsica speeding up and down Third Street in Irrigon. MCSO deputy cited Richard Hinz, 26, for Driving while License Suspended/Felony and the vehicle was impounded. MCSO deputy advised that he was trying to overtake two ve hicles on 1-84, one going 90 mph and the second at 120 mph. Fran cisco Atilano-Rivera, 20, was cited for Exceeding the Maximum Speed, 102 mph in a 65 mph zone. March 31: MCSO received a report of a prowler around a trailer at Riverview Trailer Court in Irrigon. An officer was unable to locate anyone. MCSO deputy cited Jolynn Cozy Kitchen, 43, Caldwell, ID. for Burglary I, Theft I. MCSO deputy arrested Kim berly Jean McGraw, 36, Board- man, on a circuit court warrant for Failure to Appear. MCSO received a report of a cow in the irrigation canal one mile east of the 1-84 junction. Officers were unable to locate the cow. MCSO received a report of suspicious activity at an Imgon residence. MCSO received a report of a motor vehicle accident in Irrigon. UCSO arrested Stephanie Elizabeth Corbett, 28, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Driving while License Suspended. Corbett was cited and released. MCSO deputy arrested Wendy Lee Hill, 36, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Assault IV.
