EIGHT - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, December 23, 1998 Vikings defeat lo n e boys varsity lone boys varsity traveled to Umatilla on Monday, Dec. 21, to take on the Vikings. The Vikings came out strong, defeating the Cardinals 95-39. Lead scorer for the Cardinals was Allan Gnbskov with 12 points. Mark McElligott had two steals, blocked one shot and scooped in six assists. Freshman Brad Bumght shot 67 percent from the floor and Korey Morgan sunk a three-point bucket in the fourth quarter. Morgan also had two steals, as did Patrick Davidson. lone went to the free throw line three times compared to Umatilla, who shot from the line 21 times. Umatilla's CJ Savage was hot in the first quarter with three shots from the three-point range. Joey Shannon of Umatilla added insult to injury by putting in 30 points for the Vikings.
