An organizational meeting is being planned for next month. The club will elect officers and plan the next year's agenda. All members of the club will raise and prepare a dairy animal for show at the Morrow County Fair. Unlike market animals which are sold at fair, a dairy heifer may be shown for several years consecutively or raised as a dairy replacement, said organizer Faith Healy. 4-H is available to anyone in Morrow County in grades four through 12. We're not happy to be losing Miller's Mini-Mart and have put on our thinking caps... If you're a new business in town, stop by the Chamber office and introduce yourself-helps keep us on our toes. Welcome and here's to your future in Heppner. Valuable lessons may be learned from the long-timers in Heppner. Chamber is proud to have Jim Farley, Frank Anderson and Irv Rauch still on the membership roster. They were active in the beginnings of the Chamber some 50 years ago and are still behind the organization. What changes they have seen. Randall Peterson takes the honor of being in business the longest and a great business it is. It's both a treat and learning experience to take time to visit with our very important "long- timers". Looking back. . . looking forward. That's what it's all about. We have much to be thankful for as Thanksgiving Day approaches and we move toward year end. The Chamber and retailers are working on the second best ever light parade in Heppner, to be held on Thursday, Dec. 3.
