Turned out to be a civil problem. Boardman PD received a report of yelling and screaming at comer of Willowforks and Cottonwood Loop in Boardman, and a broken bottle discovered. MCSO received a report of a deputy flagged down by an Imgon fire department fireman on an illegal bum. MCSO received report of two vehicles near a garage and a residence who appeared to be taking items. June 18 - Boardman PD received report of two males beating on a door at the Outback Apartments. The men went to a white pickup in the parking area and rummaged around and took out what appeared to be a pistol from under the seat. Turned out to be an argument between two people. Woman would not let a man in. It turned out that he was just taking his wallet out from under the seat. Heppner PD received a request from a man who had fallen and needed assistance getting up. MCSO received a report of a blue Dodge Intrepid driving erratically on Hwy. 730 leaving Irrigon. Suspect located on 1-84. MCSO received a report of a bike found in Irrigon. MCSO suffered a power surge and lost all equipment for one minute. Oregon State Police received report of a woman and two kids walking northbound on Hwy 74 headed to Hermiston. Woman was located, talked to and given ride back to Heppner. MCSO received report o f a false alarm at lone Bank of Eastern Oregon, because of a power surge. Heppner PD and Heppner Fire Dept, responded to a report of a car smoking under the hood. No one was in vehicle. She found them in her purse when she was on phone. MCSO received report of a found bicycle in Boardman. MCSO received report of missing one year old German Shepherd in Boardman. MCSO received report of a fight in the parking lot at Irrigon Sentry. Fight was just verbal and broke up without injury. Boardman PD received report of filthy room at Riverview Motel. Boardman PD and MCSO responded to a request for an officer at Wilson Rd. Trailer Court. The trailer space was empty. He was lodged at Delivery man reports early morning incident Engagement Bourne - Coller Sarah Elizabeth Bourne and Jamie Michael Coller have announced their engagement and forthcoming marriage. The bride-elect is the daughter of Wayne Bourne of Baker City and Christy Virgil of Lexington. The groom is the son of Leo Coller and Brenda Sherbum, both ol Baker City. They both are 1997 graduates of Baker High School. The couple plan to be wed July 18, at 11 a.m. in a ceremony officiated by Pastor Monte Loyd at Baker Valley Chnstian Assembly Church. A reception in honor of the couple will be held at the church following the ceremony. The bride and groom will return to Baker City to reside after a honeymoon tnp to the Oregon coast. Rodeo office completed Oregonian delivery man Floyd White reports an incidents early in the morning last week, where several teenagers harassed him and threw a bottle at his pickup. White says he was delivering papers as usual about 4a.m. when he say two young people about 16 or 17 years old, a boy and a girl. He was driving on main street in Heppner and the boy jumped out in front of him which caused him to pull over. The boy reportedly opened the pickup door, yelled profanities at White and then went away. Later in the morning White said a vehicle pulled up behind him and the occupants o f the car threw a bottle at him. The incident was reported to the police White said. Schedule ®ff Events Newly-completed rodeo office at the rodeo grounds in Heppner A new office has been completed at the rodeo grounds in Heppner. Sue Gibbs of the Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo Committee says that the office will provide shade and a rest area for rodeo contestants, a meeting place and storage. Eckman Construction completed the office renovation. Kinzua Resources donated $700 in materials and Blue Mountain Lumber Products, $1,400, for construction. Gibbs says that the new crow's nest at the rodeo grounds has also been completed, as has handicap access. She says that the new handicap facilities will allow a person to drive up, unload a wheelchair onto a cement slab and then proceed up the ramp to the rodeo stands. She said that a slab has been poured for handicap restrooms, but more funding will be required for construction of the actual facilities. gi The music has been funded by the Morrow County Unified Recreation District July 3. This burning ban is for the City of Heppner. A reminder that open burning season also includes a “burn barrel”.
