Rolling Hills Run planned April 25 The annual Rolling Hills Run, sponsored by the South Morrow County EMT Association, has been planned for Saturday, April 25, beginning at 9 a.m. at Heppner Elementary School. Proceeds from the run .will benefit life saving equipment for South Morrow County EMT Response Teams. Runners should pre-register for the run by April 16. Registration packets and late registration will be available from 7-8:30 a.m. at the school the day of the race. Pre-run instructions will be given at the starting line. The race will begin at 9 a.m., although 10K walkers may start at 8:30 a.m. The entry fee, which includes breakfast, will be $10 each for the first two family members; $8.50 for each additional family member; and $12 for late registration for the first two family members. The 5K and 10K walk is over rolling hills. Runners will start at Heppner Elementary School, loop up and back along the Heppner-Pilot Rock Highway and then finish at the Heppner Elks Club Plaques will be awarded to the oldest male-female finisher over all. Male and female 5K and 10K first place winners will also be awarded plaques. Ribbons will be awarded to the first three finishers in all age divisions in both distances. Awards and door prizes will be given at the post race breakfast. Runners must be present to claim door prizes. Breakfast is available to non runners at $3.50 each.
