Changes in State law have made some provisions of the existing Charter obsolete.* In November, 1997 the City Council created a four (4) mem ber City Charter Committee to develop an updated Charter. The committee studied state laws and charters from other cities, met and developed a new charter for voter consideration. The most important changes would adopt state election laws and give the Mayor a vote on Council matters. There were 85 present for the senior dinner Wednesday, March 11, and 12 meals were home delivered. Members of the Christian Missionary Fellowship Church served. Janice Buecher's family provided two beautiful cakes to be shared with the seniors in honor of Janice's birthday. The Senior Center Board met and bingo was played after the meal. The menu for March 25 will be spaghetti with meat sauce, green salad, chilled pears, french bread and pudding. Members of the Episcopal Church will serve. There was no Friday breakfast Friday, Mar. 13. The menu for March 20 will be pancakes, bacon, hot and cold cereal, fruit, milk, orange juice and coffee. Pinochle was played Tuesday and Friday afternoons. The United Methodist Church's Mrs. O'Leary's Stew feed drew a large crowd at the Senior Center Friday evening and, as usual, the food was delicious. The senior breakfast at the fairgrounds and the potato soup luncheon were both very successful. 4-H club members Robert Worden, Kelsie and Gina McKinney, Leland Rill and adult supervisors, Lorie McKinney and Pam Piper did a great job helping serve and clear tables at the soup lunch. We really appreciate their help. All the seniors who helped are appreciated also. Corol Mitchell and crew made the pies and Joyce Breeding and Susie Cooper made the soup and rolls. The quilt, made by Daisy Collins and Maxine Gray, was won by Mary Davidson of Hermiston. Rose Marie Buschke and Susie Cooper are helping people with their income taxes at the Senior Center Monday and Thursday. Call the center office, 676-9030, if you need assistance. A Red Cross blood drawing will be held at the Senior Center Tuesday, March 24. / .> i v IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE STATE OF OREGON FOR THE COUNTY OF , MORROW Probate Department In the Matter of the Estate of HAZEL LORRAINE MAHONEY, Deceased.
