July 15: to HPD a report of a car racing and squealing tires in Heppner; received report of man want ing to buy beer at BP Station in Boardm an at 6:36 a.m . He couldn’t buy it until 7 a.m. received report of possible ani mal abuse in Irrigon. Two boys were chasing cows with switches; received request for assistance in interviewing a teenage girl who says she was sexually abused by her father; Boardm an am bulance and MCSO responded to a nine semitruck motor vehicle accident on Bombing Range Road by Finley Butte. One adult male with a minor head injury was trans ported to Good Shepherd Hospi tal. Department of Enviromental Quality was called for fuel spill; received report of a sign at the Umatilla Refuge at Irrigon tagged with “SUR 13”; received report of a dog bite in Irrigon; to City of Heppner a report of broken glass in roadway in front o f C ourt Street M arket in Heppner; received report of horses not being fed at a place on Kunze Road. The hay in the pasture was black with mold; received report of an assault which occurred in Boardman; received report of a 10 year old hitting a 7-year old’s fingers with a rock in Boardman. Parent says finger may be broken and wants to press charges. received report o f an aban doned vehicle 11 miles up Wil low Creek; to HPD a report of a pickup dis covered witha dent in it; to HPD, Heppner ambulance a report of an 86-year old woman who had rallen down her base ment stairs in Heppner; received a wallet found by a Heppner resident. Wallet was owned by a LaGrande man. BFD and MCSO responded to a rapidly growing brush fire on Hwy 730 mile post 170; received report of a person seen loading chairs from Heppner High School into a pickup. Per son was gone on arrival. received report of strong smell o f smoke coming from alley be hind Gazette Times; BPD, Boardman ambulance, MCSO responded to a report of a woman who had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend and cut her wrists. Ambulance cancelled. Patient was transported by pri vate vehicle to Good Shepherd Hospital; MCSO cited W illiam E. Transported to Good Shepherd Hospital; received report of someone re peatedly breaking the lights on a pickup at night; to BPD a report o f juveniles riding their bikes by a dog and teasing him in Boardman; to OSP a report o f a Chevy Blazer upside down in middle of road west of mile post 53. July 17: received report of ve hicle in ditch on south side of Usage Lane. Female driver not in jured but appeared to be intoxi cated; received report o f a domestic dispute in progress at Riverview trailer court in Irrigon. Woman reported to have a black eye. Ed ward A. Robertson, 22, was ar rested for alleged Assault IV do mestic and lodged at UCSO Jail; to Heppner ambulance and HPD a report of a man having a reaction to his insulin. The patient was transported to Pioneer Me morial Hospital; to OSP a report of two hitch hikers who looked like two sus pects from Seaside homicide at I- 84 eastbound, milepost 107; MCSO and BPD responded to a report of a suspicious male sit ting in the doorway of a residence in Boardman. Man appeared to be intoxicated; received report of cow and calf out on Hwy 730 mile post 179; MCSO deputy arrested Dale Munkers, 41, for alleged Posses sion o f a Controlled Substance. He was lodged at UCSO Jail; received report of a theft of $60 from a purse while woman was at Bakes in Irrigon; July 18; BPD and MCSO re sponded to a report o f an un wanted intoxicated person refus ing to leave Dodge City in Boardman; BPD and MCSO responded to a report of an unwanted subject refusing to leave Oregon Potato; To OSP a report of a disabled motorist on shoulder on 1-84 mile post 142 eastbound; received report of a newspaper box beaten off wooden post on Baseline Lane, lone; received report of a woman al legedly selling crank in Boardman; received report of either smoke or dust from direction of north Lexington Elevators; MCSO, OSP, BFD, Boardman ambulance responded to a report of a rollover at Boardman with three people injured and vehicle on its top. The people were trans ported to Good Shepherd Hospi tal. received report o f a dead body in river directly out of Imgon fish hatchery floating face up. It turned out to be a camper who had been swimming and had run out of energy and was doing the back float. received report that a woman who said her son threatened to bum her house down if she made reports to police about him or a woman; received report of a vehicle in the road six miles up Willow Creek Road; MCSO and BPD received re port of a man who said his neigh bor had been harassing him and hanging signs on his fence; received report of loud music at a residence in Irrigon; received report of several shot fired at a residence in lone; to HPD a report that a woman had been threatened by her uncle because she is buying a car from him and is behind on payments. Turned out to be a civil matter; received report o f a grass fire at west end of Cemetery road in Irrigon; to BPD a report o f a person driving crazy in Lamb Weston parking lot. Unable to locate; July 19: received request for a check of a residence in Irrigon. Caller said a rottweiler killed nine of his chickens and chased his horse. He said he has a labrador at his residence valued at $3,000 and rottweiler is still there; received report of disturbance at house behind Homers Fruit stand in Irrigon. A male and fe male had been reported to be screaming and breaking glass; to HPD a request for a check at a home in Heppner. Troy Dean Potter 27, was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital with a head injury; a 13 year-old was arrested by BPD for alleged unlawful deliv ery of an imitation controlled sub stance. Juvenile was released to his father under house arrest by Morrow County Juvenile Depart ment; received report of a 15 year-old runaway from Irrigon missing since the day before to go to Pasco; HPD, HFD responded to an alarm at St. Patrick’s Senior Cen ter. Unable to locate; received report of a person in Irrigon putting boulders in the road; received report of a 911 prank ster; received report of shots fired and yelling in Irrigon. Turned out to be juvenile who put too much air in his tires and tires popped causing juvenile to yell; received report of a suspicious vehicle in Irrigon; received report of suspicious activity at old stone residence in Hardman. July 21: HPD received report from a father that his son was high on pot, residence smells like pot and father says he knows who supplied pot, received report of suspicious vehicle at Boardman; to Heppner ambulance, a report of an 85-year old man who had passed out. Transported to Pio neer Memorial Hospital. The $1,000 scholarship was awarded to her at the BMPG’s annual steak banquet at the Her- miston Convention Center. The award was based on academics, grade point average, community involvement and interest in the agricultural field. Mandi will be a freshman this year at Blue Mountain Commu nity College before furthering her education at Oregon State Univer sity. She will be pursuing a de- Mandi Gutierrez gree in agribusiness communica tions with a minor in child psy chology.
