Preserving a unique and dy ing art form, the trick riding "Flying Cossacks" were form ed in 1973. The Flying Cos sacks, aka the Ellerman family, have performed throughout the United States. In 1988 and 1989, they had a special invita tion to appear at the Belmont Stakes in New York. During the 1991 National Finals Rodeo, the family troupe performed in the opening ceremonies. Part of the group appeared in a special show in Kuwait. Tami, the special education teacher executes a fender com bination and is the only trick rider today who currently per forms the difficult backbend. Fawn the communication ex pert, performs the infamous and popular Stroud layout and compliments with the danger ous taildrag.
