An ace from Mindy Binschus and strong back row play from Jessica Sumner seemed to help fuel the fire as Heppner was able to control an offensive at tack from the Rockets, winning game two 15-7. Heppner started out strong in the third game with Hepp- ner's number one rotation of Howard serving and setting and Hisler coming up with the kill. Heppner quickly took a 4-0 lead and hope of victory was in the air. Line-up changes along with unforced errors in the back row, as well as at the service line and net saw Hepp ner's momentum take a nose dive. Two net violations from the Fillies helped Pilot Rock come back to tie the score 6-6. Hisler produced a side-out on a kill and Dickenson evened the score at 7. Tina Kemp came up with a big dink set kill behind Moeller's serving and Sumner's passing to give hope for Heppner. At 10-10, Moeller came through with a back row spike kill, but followed with a spike out the back and a miss ed tip. Moeller came back with a dink kill to take the lead 13-12, but Heppner couldn't hold on and the Rockets took the game and match 16-14. Howard had a productive night at the serving line, going 16-18.
