(Holtz) Streufert Funeral services for Laura E. Holtz Steufert will be held Monday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in lone. Vault interment will follow at the High View Cemtery. Laura E. (Holtz) Streufert, 92, Hermiston, died Monday, May 29, 1995, at the Good Samari tan Center in Hermiston. Mrs. Streufert was born at Flaxton, ND., on December 24, 1902. She was raised in North Dakota and moved to Mabton, WA. She moved to lone in 1946, and lived there until 1985. She then moved to Hermiston where she lived until her death. Mrs. Streufert married Clarence Holtz on June 4, 1925, in Flaxton, ND. After his death, she married Elmer Streufert on October 6, 1984, in Hermiston. Mrs. Streufert was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Her miston. She was an avid gardener and loved to bake. Mrs. Streufert is survived by two sons, Elmer and Harold Holtz, both of lone, a daughter, Mary Kirkelie, of Tacoma, WA., 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Clarence, in 1969, and Elmer, in 1986. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hermis ton, or to the church of choice. Burns Mortuary, Hermiston, is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, May 31 for Dee Schmidt at the Fossil cemetry. Dee Schmidt, 82, Condon, died Friday, May 26, 1995 at Summit Springs Retirement Village in Condon. Mrs. Schmidt was born March 17, 1913 at Wren, Utah, to Robert and Ruth McCumber Davis. She had been a resident of Condon since 1977. She enjoyed needlework and reading. Her husband, George Schmidt, died in 1977. Sur vivors include sons, Wayne of Dixon, Texas, Dwayne in Penn sylvania, Dick and Sam, both of Heppner; daughters Rosalyn Brehaut and Georgie Learman, both of Condon; Betty Fryer of Gresham and Bessie Zemmer of John Day; 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Summit Springs Village in Condon or to a chari ty of donor's choice, directly or through Bums Mortuary, PO Box 289, Hermiston, 97838. Pa tient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston; Morrow County deputy responded to Irrigon to deliver a message; Morrow County deputy responded to Browns in Irrigon for a report of theft of service; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Heppner ambulance to a motor vehicle accident on Hwy. 74 at the Bunker Hill intersection. Pa tient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a report of criminal trespass on property; Morrow County deputy responded to the Wilson Road area in Boardman for a report of suspicious circumstances. Call was unfounded. May 17: Morrow County Sheriff's office dispatched the Boardman ambulance to the Marina Park for a male with an unknown illness. Patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Spray Fire Dept to an alarm at the Spray High School; Morrow County deputy took a complaint of careless driving in Irrigon. Investigation is continuing; Morrow County deputy receive a complaint of careless driving in the Buttercreek Hwy 207 area. Investigation is continuing; Morrow County deputy ar rested Gary David Patterson, 38, Boardman, for Driving While Suspended/felony. He was cited and released to ap pear in court. May 18: Morrow County deputy responded to the Ir rigon area for a report of a domestic dispute; Morrow County deputy ar rested Kevin Thomas Gregory, 28, Irrigon for Assault IV, Domestic. He was transported to Umatilla County jail and lodged; Morrow County deputy in vestigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the park ing lot of Browns Auto in Irrigon; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Condon ambulance for a female with an unknown illness. Patient was transported to Gilliam Medical Center; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Arlington Fire Dept, to a report of a fire alarm at Oregon Waste Management. Alarm turned out to be false; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a report of harassment; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Heppner ambulance to the Heppner Lex ington Hwy, for a male with a fractured hip. Patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Fossil am bulance to the Haven House for a female with an illnesss. Airlife was put on standby; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Boardman ambulance to the Boardman Marina for a person with a frac- tured arm. Patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Condon ambulance to the clinic for a female with an illness. No transport was made; Morrow County deputy ar rested Richard Wayne Carroll, 25, Boardman, for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Car- roll was lodged at Umatilla County Sheriff's office jail. May 19: Morrow County Sheriff's office dispatched a deputy for a domestic in the Boardman area; Morrow County deputy responded to the Boardman area for a report of a verbal dispute; Morrow County deputy responded to Cain Dr. in Ir rigon, for an animal problem; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Condon ambulance to a report of a motor vehicle accident with in juries on Hwy 206, 14 miles north of Condon. The victim was transported by a private vehicle; Morrow County deputy responded to the gravel pit on Bombing Range Road for a report of a traffic problem. Deputy was unable to locate anything upon arrival. May 20: Morrow County Sheriff's office dispatched a deputy to the Irrigon area for a report of a suspicious vehicle; Morrow County deputy responded to 1-84 to assist a citizen with a vehicle problem; Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a traffic problem; Morrow County deputy in vestigated an abandoned vehi cle in the Irrigon area; Morrow County deputy began an investigation of Theft in the lone area; Morrow County deputy responded to the Boardman area for a report of a neighborhood disturbance; Morrow County deputy assisted the Boardman Police Dept, in trying to locate a suspicious vehicle. Deputy was unable to locate anything. May 21: Morrow County deputy assisted the Boardman Police Dept, with locating a suspicious vehicle; Morrow County deputy in vestigated a juvenile problem in the Irrigon area; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Arlington ambulance to a residence in Arlington for a male with unknown injuries; Morrow County deputy responded to the Boardman area to take a report of a miss ing juvenile. Juvenile was located. May 22: Morrow County deputy began an investigation of vandalism and theft from a residence in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy assisted Oregon State Police with a single vehicle accident on Hwy 730, Irrigon; Morrow County deputy responded to a stranded motorist on Hwy 730; Morrow County deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the Produce for Victory Posters on the Homefront 1941-45 on exhibit at Morrow County Museum May 13-July 12. 1995 Program Schedule Thursday, June 1, 7PM, Morrow Co. May 25: Morrow County deputy responded to the Boardman area for an animal problem. Dogs were barking; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Mitchell am bulance to the Wheeler Coun ty Cattle Company for a female with a broken hip. Patient was transported to Prineville; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Heppner ambulance to Valby Road for a female with an illness. Patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital; Morrow County deputy responded to an animal pro blem (goats) in the Irrigon area; Morrow Coiunty Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Heppner ambulance to the Bowling lanes. A female with an illness was airlifted out; Morrow County deputy responded to a traffic problem on Cain Dr., Irrigon; Boardman area; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Boardman ambulance to a residence in Boardman. Two males with unknown injuries were transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston; Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Spray am bulance for a woman with chest pains. Patient was transported by Airlife. May 23: Morrow County deputy arrested Wilynda Marie W ardinski, 32, lone, for negotiation a bad check. She was taken to court and sentenced; Morrow County deputy assisted a disabled motorist on 1-84 near the Boardman area. Morrow County Sheriff's of fice dispatched the Condon ambulance to a residence in Condon for an adult with an il lness. No transport was made; Morrow County deputy began an investigation of theft of service from the city of Lexington; Morrow County deputy responded to the Boardman area for a driving complaint; Morrow County deputy responded to assist the Irrigon ambulance; Morrow County deputy assisted the Boardman Police Dept with a report of suspicious vehicles in Desert Springs Estates in Boardman.
