The baby weighed 8 lbs. Kyle J. Searle-a son, Kyle J. was bom to Tracy and Jon Searle of Irrigon on September 21, 1993 at Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. The baby weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. Shuyler Daniel K err-a son Shuyler Daniel was bom to Katheryn Ann Kerr of Irrigon on September 7, 1993 at Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. The baby weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. Lucy Ewing Curtiss, 99, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1993 at the Good Samaritan Center in Hermiston. She was bom to the pioneer family of William B. Ewing near Cecil on Feb. 22, 1894. She taught school in Grant and Douglas counties, and was a telephone operator in Prairie Ci ty during World War II. Her second husband Grover C. Curtiss preceded her in death in 1977. Lucy is survived by a daughter Mary Velvin of Lakeside; son, Howard Smith of Hermiston; five grandchildren. 11 great grand children and one great-great grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor’s charity of choice. Bums Mortuary, Hermiston, is in charge of arrangements. William J. Healy Recitation of the rosary for William J. Healy was held Tues day, Oct. 5, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Heppner. Mass of Christian Burial was held today at the church with con cluding service and burial at the Heppner Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Healy, 64, of the Butter- creek area near Heppner, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1993 at his ranch home. The youngest of seven children, he was bom Jan. 9 , 1929, at Heppner to John and Ro- seanne Kenny Healy. He attend ed schools at Pine City, Colum bia Prep Catholic School and graduated from Heppner High School in 1947. He attended Eastern Oregon State College at La Grande. On May 1, 1945, he married Kathryn Lazinka at Stevenson, WA. He was a life member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a member of Morrow County Livestock Growers, Oregon Cat tlem ens A ssociation, the Am erican Q uarter Horse A ssociation, the H eppner Wrangler’s Riding Club and Heppner Elks Lodge. He spent his life on the Buttercreek ranch centered around the family’s cen tury farm. Survivors include his wife, K athryn Lazinka H ealy; daughters, Patti Adair, Malibu, Calif., Joan Hays, Unity, Susan Hisler and Mary Knowles, both Heppner, Janice Davis and Maureen Crossley, both Her miston; sister Rosetta Palmateer and brother John Healy, both of Heppner and 17 grandchildren. Sisters, Marie, Cecelia and Helen and brother Thomas, died earlier. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 3103 S.W. Vehicle was towed to Boardman; M orrow County deputy responded to Irrigon for an animal complaint; M orrow County deputy responded to a Boardman business for a complaint of Criminal Mischief. Investigations are continuing; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Fossil am bulance to the clinic for a transport to Madras; M orrow County deputy responded to Irrigon for a distur bance involving a juvenile; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice responded to the Irrigon area for a juvenile problem. September 30: Morrow Coun ty deputy responded to West Glen Addition, Boardman for a report of loud music; M orrow County deputy responded to 7th West in Irrigon for a possible hit and run. Call was unfounded; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Fossil am bulance to Main St. One female was transported to Asher Clinic and Airlife was put on standby; M orrow County deputy delivered an emergency message to an out of town visitor at a residence in Irrigon; Morrow County deputy in vestigated the report of an animal problem at West Glen Addition, Boardman; M orrow County deputy delivered an emergency message to a residence in Irrigon; M orrow County deputy responded to investigate the report of a burglary at a residence on Main Street, Irrigon. A VCR and some other items were taken from Annette Eppenbach. Total value is unknown. October 1: Morrow County deputy investigated the report of a family disturbance on 1 st Street in Irrigon; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Boardman am bulance to the Riverside High School. One fem ale was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Her miston with an unknown illness; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Heppner am bulance to a one truck rollover on Hwy. 207 one mile south of H ardm an. There was no transport; Morrow County deputy at tempted to deliver an emergency message to a hunter camped near Potomus Point. Deputy was unable to locate hunter; Morrow County deputy began an investigation of suspicious cir cumstances at the Blakes ranch. Call was unfounded. October 2: Morrow County deputy responded to the Irrigon area for a property dispute; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Heppner Fire Dept to a field fire three miles on Upper Hinton Creek; M orrow County deputy responded to attempt to deliver an emergency message to a hunting party camped on Rhea Creek Road. Deputy was unable to locate party; M orrow County deputies responded to locate a juvenile that was reported to be lost in the Balm Fork Road area. The juvenile was found and reunited with the family; M orrow County deputy responded to investigate the report of a neighborhood distur bance in Lexington. Call was unfounded; M orrow County deputy responded to assist Oregon State Police in a traffic stop on 1-84, near Tower Road. October 3: Morrow County Sheriffs office dispatched the Condon ambulance to the Roun dup Cafe, Main Street, Condon, where a hunter brought his friend in an attempt to get medical help. One male was transported to Mid Columbia Medical Center, The Dalles with an unknown illness; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice dispatched the Heppner Fire Dept to a location on Hinton Creek for a report of visual smoke. Fire turned out to be a controlled bum; M orrow County deputy responded to Hwy. 730 for a report of a potato truck that had turned over. There were no injuries; Morrow County deputy took a report of a possible stolen trailer on 9th street in Irrigon. Call was unfounded; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Spray am bulance and Heppner ambulance for a male subject with an illness. There was no transport; M orrow County deputy responded to the Boardman Marina for a report of a subject stranded; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice responded to the lone area for a report of a hunter trespassing on private land; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Boardman am bulance to Mojave Court for a female with an unknown illness. One person was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital; Morrow County deputy took a report of theft of a convertible hard top off a Jeep Wrangler and \ a side door from Robert Bates. Amount of value was unknown; Morrow County Sheriff s of fice responded to a residence on Wilson Road for a domestic problem; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Arlington and Boardman Fire Departments to 1-84, mile post 154 for a vehicle and grass fire. October 4: Morrow County Sheriffs office dispatched the Boardman ambulance and fire department to Tower Road for a motor vehicle accident. One male subject was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital with injuries; Morrow County Sheriffs of fice dispatched the Heppner Fire Dept, for a structure fire on Union Street; M orrow County deputy responded to lone service station to start an investigation of a report of theft of services. Call was unfounded; M orrow County deputy responded to 9th Street in Irrigon for a report of trespassing; M orrow County deputy responded to 4th Street to start an investigation of a report of possi ble animal neglect. Investigation is continuing; Morrow County deputy ar rested Penny Fritz, 37, Irrigon for Criminal Trespass. Subject was cited and released; M orrow County deputy responded to the West Glenn Ad dition for a report of loud music.
