Homemakers Council to sell cookies during rodeo parade The Morrow County Family Community Education Council (form erly M orrow County Homemakers) will offer their tas ty homemade cookies and beverages for sale during the Fair and Rodeo Parade. Extension study group members from Pine City, Rhea Creek and North Morrow are filling their cookie jars with treats for the sale. Pro ceeds from the sale will be used for special awards at the fair, as well as for hosting the 1993 state meeting, to be held in Umatilla this fall. The Homemakers Council will also be selling their Columbia River Heritage Cookbooklets. The booklets were prepared as a souvenier for the Sesquicenten- nial Celebration. The council just completed a new “ Salads” booklet. The other booklets “ Desserts” , “ Main Dishes” , and “ Side Dishes” feature foods grown in the Columbia Basin as well as recipes of early Morrow County settlers. Be sure to visit the Hom em akers cookie booth before, during and after the parade. Look for them on Main Street.
