Ducks will be available for the Saturday O ’Ducky Race down Willow Creek in front of Bud’s Pub and the offices of Kuhn and Spicer in Heppner. Ducks will be rented for $3 race will begin at 4 p.m. The person whose plastic duck crosses the finish line first will receive $100. Second place is $75 and third is $50. Fourth through eighth place finishers will each receive an O’Ducky T-shirt. Scotch Doubles tourney slated The 12th annual “ Irish Sweepstakes’’ Scotch Doubles bowling tournament will get underway this Saturday and Sun day, March 13 and 14 at the Heppner Bowl. The mixed doubles tournament will continue on March 20 and 21 . Entry fee is $22 per couple. For more information call Hepp ner Bowl, 676-9208. Holy communion set at All Saints Rev. Bob Crum will celebrate Holy Communion at All Saints Epsicopal Church on Sunday. March 14 at 10:30 a.m. Truman Messenger (I) the oldest cast member (90 years old) repairs a shoe for Meghan Bailey in the pageant “ Erin Came to County Morrow". The youngest cast member at four months is Teri Straley. Tickets for the Irish pageant this coming Saturday night are selling fast, according to Mur ray’s Drug, who are handling all reserve ticket sales. The show “ Erin Came to County Morrow” will be held March 13 at 8 p.m. in the junior high auditorium. The pageant traces the history of the Irish here from the 1870’s through the 1920’s with skits, ghost stories, an authentic letter from the coun ty museum and lots of Irish music in solos, duets, chorus, violin, piano and dances. Among many performers new to the show this year will be Smokey Joe Wightman of Board- man, Lea Mathieu, Jim Raible, Michelle Kandle and Marie Tworek of lone; Sharia Erich, ï* ST. PATRICK'S * Shirts and Sweatshirts Creative arts and crafts hold sale The Morrow County Creative Arts and Crafts club sale will be held Saturday, March 13 at the Les Schwab showroom from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the St. Patrick’s weekend celebration. St. Patrick’s Senior Center Bulletin Board One hundred thirty people were present for the senior dinner on Wednesday, March 3. Nine dinners were taken out and there were five visitors. Anna Schwarzin won the meal ticket, Liz Miller, the door prize and Dallas Craber the guest prize. Members of the Bap tist Church and Christian Missionary Fellowship served. The Meal Site Committee met following the meal. A committee of volunteers for the breakfast and soup, roll and pie lunch also met. More volunteers are needed.
