P U B L I C N O T IC E Heppner Ranger District Extends Comment Period for East End Salvage Sales and Restoration Projects The Umatilla National Forest has decided to extend the com ment period for the Draft En vironmental Impact Statement (DEIS) on the East End Salvage Sales and Restoration Projects. The extension will be 30 days from the previously set date, November 23, 1992. Comments will now be due December 21, 1992. This reason for this exten sion is to allow the public more time to respond to the DEIS, since the projects will be exempt from appeals.
