Two - Special Fair and Rodeo edition August 12, 1992 Chapeau show features lots of hats The Heppner Intergenerational Theater group will present “The Chapeau Show” on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Morrow County Fair on the outdoor stage of the fairgrounds. The focus will be hats, to carry out the fair theme of “Hats Off To Morrow County”. A time for fun and laughter. The Chapeau Show will feature some of Morrow County’s top performers in music, drama, and dance from each community. Ed Glenn and Alice Traylor will present an old Ethel and Albert Cbmedy “Fisherman’s Hat”. A Dr. Seuss story, “The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins,” stars Leland Rill as Bartholomew and Tony Becket as the King Der- win with a supporting cast of 15 including Jessica Gutierrez, Kan- dra and Desiree Schmeltzer, Paula and Phillip SpicerKuhn, Macy Rhea. Ross VanEtta, Tesse Kempas. Lonnie Rill, Nancy, Matt and Danny Jepsen, Kay Foster, Ryan Munkers and Kazuo Matsuuri, an exchange student from Japan. Narrator is Rachel Hoobing. Other numbers include a square and round dancing exhibition by the Ione Grand Squares, a WALCHI c FARM mother-daughter duet by Pat and Lizzy Smith from Irrigon, a barber shop quartet from Lex ington, jazz dancing from Julie Proctor and Jaclynn Hughes and the Mexican Hat Dance from a Boardman group. Chuck Nelson, Lexington, will tie it all together as master of ceremonies. There is entertainment for all ages. The show is free but since it is a hat show a hat will be pass ed for those wishing to contribute to day care and preschool pro grams in Morrow County. Make Morrow County Fair your getaway this year. August 19 beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Pet Parade is open to children under 12 and any kind of pet Children may show one pet. Dogs must be on a leash and easily frightened animals should be brought in cages. All participants should be at the picnic area next to the dorm building promptly at 1:30 p.m. to register.
