Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Monday, December 31, 1991 - FIVE Colleges list honor students Weddings Stotts — Doubledee Lora Lee Stotts, formerly of Heppner, and Norman Keith Doubledee, both of Mountain View, CA., were married on December 27, 1991. Lora Lee, the daughter of the late Lora and Henry Stotts, was a 1966 graduate of Heppner High School. Norman is employed at Syntex of Palo Alto, CA. Happy New Year. It seems very quiet around the Senior Center the past few days, after the hustle and bustle of pre Christmas preparations. Many seniors are out of town for the holidays, a few are ill and the rest are too tired to do very much. Things will get back to nor mal after New Years, we hope. The next senior dinner will be January 8. The menu is: beans, with franks, carrots, salad, bran muffin and fruit. The quilters will be in the dining room again Monday, January 6, after a two-week vacation. Center Heppner Oregon State University Mark Fishbum of Heppner, has made the scholastic honor roll fall term at Oregon State Univer sity. Fishburn, a senior in engineering, earned a 3.5 or bet ter grade point average. A total of 259 students earned straight A (4.). Another 1,351 earned a B-plus (3.5) or better to make the listing. To be on the honor roll students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work. Western Oregon State College A total of 227 students have been named to the president’s list and another 513 students have been named to the honor roll for fall term at Western Oregon State College. President’s list students achieved a perfect 4. grade point average, while honor roll students earned a 3.5 to 3.9. Sean War ren of Ione was named to the honor roll. WOSC, a four-year liberal arts college has an enrollment of 3,863 students. Blue Mountain Community College Thirty-nine Blue Mountain Community College students received a perfect 4. grade point average during fall term. This reflects a straight A report in all courses taken by the student. Sunday school services will start at 9:30 a.m. with church services follow ing at 11 a.m. Orn has been in the Christian ministry for the past 39 years, both as a minister and evangelist. Before becoming the director of Evangelism for the Oregon Christian Evangelistic Fellowship, he served as senior minister of the Central Christian Church in Portland. For several years Orn served as the west coast director of Revival Fires TV ministry, with evangelist Cecil Todd of Joplin, Missouri. He also has served on the board of directors for various other church organizations. He has served as director of the Oregon Christian Evangelistic Fellowship since July 1985 traveling across Oregon and speaking at rallies, retreats, camps and leadership seminars. He has conducted “Lift Up Christ” evangelistic crusades and helped in the establishment of several new churches in Oregon.
