May 17 Morrow County dispat ched the Boardman fire department to a mobile home fire on East W ilson Road and Laurel Lane; Morrow County deputy is in vestigating a report of animal pro blems in the Im gon area Investiga tion is continuing. Morrow County dispatched the Arlington fire department to a report of a grass fire 10 miles from Arl ington towards Boardman May 18: Morrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the Boardman am bulance to a residence on Fowler Road There was no transport. Morrow County deputy respond ed to a residence in the Boardman area to 'investigate an animal problem; Morrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the Boardman Fire Department to a grass fire on Wilson Road The fire was moving towards residences in the immediate area The Boardman ambulance was alvi requested to respond and be on standby The Irngon Fire depart men! was also requested to assist for mutual aid. Morrow County dispatched the Arlington fire department to a car on fire at mile post 144 on I 84 on the westbound side. May 19 Morrow County dispat ched the Boardman ambulance to Paul Smith Road to an unknown in jury One female was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital May 20 Morrow County ShcnfT s office dispatched the Mitchell am bulance to a gas station in Mitchell in reference to an unknown illness. Morrow County Sheriff s office received a report of cattle on the madway on East Wilson road Owners were contacted and advised; Morrow County Sheriffs office dispatched the Heppner ambulance to the downtown Heppner area due to an unknown illness One subject was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital; Morrow Counts deputy began the investigation into a report of van dalism involving farm equipment belonging to Merle Carlson on Miller l-ane outside of Boardman No damage amount was known at this time. Morrow County Sheriffs office dispatched a deputy to attempt to locate some overdue sightseers out of Heppner Subjects returned ok ami the deputy was advised to disregard search Mas 21 Morrow County Sheriff s office dispatched the Heppner am bulancc to u residence on Court St for a 46 year old male with an unknown illness Subject was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital May 22 M oitow County deputy dispatched the Boardman ambulance to the Boardman RV Park to report of a camper with an unknown il lness Subject was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital in Her- miston. During the week of May 15-22 Morrow County Sheriff s deputies assisted one disabled motorist. Stefani Recitation of the rosary for Cecil Stefani was held Sunday at the St. William Catholic Church in lone Mass was held Monday at St William's. Concluding service and bunal was at High View Cemetery in lone Mrs Stefani, 82. of lone, died Thrusday. May 18. 1989 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner She was horn March 16, 1907. at Gooseberry. near lone, daughter of Tillman and Nora Brannon Hogue On lune 1. 1925, she married A r thur E Stefani at Vancouver. Wash They lived in the W illamette Valley until 1930 when they moved to lone and started the Owl Trucking Line which hauled wheat and cattle, then farmed in the lone area for more than 40 years The couple also own ed and operated Stefani's Fine Food restaurant at lone for six years Mrs Stefani drove a mail route for many years She was a member of the Willows Grange in lone and St. William Catholic Church Survivors include a son.
