Christy Stroeber, Sandi Turner and Nance Wright Several students received tuition wholarships to Blue Mt Communi ty College Full tuition awards were presented to Jess Osmin and Ted Schwarz Libby Britt received a tui- lion award for the HU MO rodeo tcason Fall term tuition awards were given to Will Martin for his skills contest achievements and to Nancy Bailey for livestock judging The American l-cgion Auxiliary awarded a state scholarship to Nance Tay lor and their local scholarship to Mike Correa The Heppner l ions Vocational scholarship and the International Woodworkers of America local vocational scholarship were award- ed to Mike Correa Ted Schwarz was the recipient of the Heppner Somptimist International vixational scholarship Scholarships tor sludies in health related areas were awarded hy the Pioneer Memorial Foundation to Jill Conklin and Christy Strocber and by Dr Richard and Kristie Carpenter to Michelle Beck Several awards were presented to students for their participation in athletics and other activities t he Heppner Booster's Club scholar ships were won by Barney Lindsay, Benp Pearson, J J Shaw, and Naikc Wright Columbia Basin Conference scholarships were awarded to Barney Lindsay and Sandi Turner Bryan Padherg was awarded the Stookcy Memorial scnoiarship. the army Scholar Athlete award and the Jim Barratt trophy Heppner Flks laxlgc scholarships for most valuable students were awarded to J J Shaw, Bcnji Pear son. Barney Lindsay and Jill Conklin Fhe Portnun Improvement Award was won hy Dina Ruiz Benp Pear son was the recipient of an Oregon State I'niversitv Dads’ Club scholar ship The Morrow County Chapter ot the Oregon School hmployces' Assn awarded their scholarship to Craig Angell Morrow County 4 H leaders' Assn scholarships were presented to Benp Pearson and Nan cy Bailey J J Shaw was recognized as an Oregon Scholar.
