January 19 The Ponies played at Columbia The •*B " team boys played the first game and had a very tough time Winning by only five points 35 10 The 7th grade girls alvi played and played a very good game losing in overtime 24-20 The 8th grade boys lost by a score of 47-21 The Ponies had their last home games o f the year on Saturday, January 21. The Ponies played Athena Weston and Ukiah The 7th grade girls played Athena Weston 7th grade girls and won by a score o f 19-9 The girls record improved t,> r< 2 The “C” team boys played second at the junior high gym The **C " team losi to Athena Weston )6 Their record dropped to 0-7. The "B '' team boys played a weak Ukiah team which had only six team members The Ponies jumped out to an early lead and won 52-34 Their record stands at an undefeated mark o f 7-0. The 8th grade teams played at the high school gym Both Hth grade- teams played Athena Weston The 8th grade boys had a little trouble with Weston’s hoys losing 11-27 The 8th grade girls were down at halftime 12-2. with less than one minute left they were down by two points but the couldn't pull it out, losing 24-20 The Ponies' last game the year w ill be held Thursday. January 20. and were beaten bv the host Tiger-Scots 57-39 Heppner jumped out in the first quarter led by Brandon Pedro’ s six points and took a 12 7 lead going in to the second period In the second quarter the Mustang offense sputtered as they only scored three points while the Tiger Scots took the lead for good Heppner went into the half down 20 15 Kevin Bond scored 10 of the Mustang’s 14 points in the third quarter hut his efforts weren't enough as the Tiger Scots lead grew hy five Things went from bad to worse in the fourth quarter Not only were the Salsa and Tortilla Chips, Salsa Sou Mexican Rice, Beans, Cheese & Beef Enchiladas, Chili Renno’s Puff, & Tortilla and Butter.
