Sherman), by a score o f 5-0 T n Couniv had one hit a single by IXmg Devin in the first inning Januc About 200 people attended Sunday's "Music in the Park" Some people brought picnics and others brought lawn chairs to listen to the entertainment provided by the County Museum Ladd chosen for Fair Board Richard Ladd 25, lone, was recently appointed by the County Court to a position on the Fair Hoard Richard is a graduate from Oregtw State University with a degree in A g r ic u ltu r a l E n g in e e rin g Technology He is a 1981 graduate o f lone High School and OSU in 1985 He is currently chairman of the fai r committee Richard staned helping on the tair committee when he was still in col lege According to his mother, la ir rainc I add. Richard would like to get more young people involved in the workings o f the fair and rodeo He is interested in uie lu iu ie ol the county and has thoroughly enjoyed working with the fair hoard He is currently a director o f the H cm iiston Hay Producers C o o p He was recently selected as one of bO persons to be accepted into a Masters Business Administration program through Portland State University He w ill be able to do this through Blue Mountain Community College Richard and his family have lived in lone since 1970 He is farming on the family farm there Richard's sister Sylvia is the cur rent M iss Ri ido i ( )regt hi He has i an other sister Christine livin g ir. K risti is not new to the idea o f representing M orrow County as she was a pennant bearer for two years Her sister Staci. 13. i> a pennant bearer this year She also has a b riH h e rC a s e y .il K ris ti’s mother was a princess in 1965 and her cousin Sandi Wright Putman was a princess in 1986 K risti has been busy this summer working on the liner patrol She just recently finished and is now getting her 4 H projects ready fo r fair She has a sheep and hog that she w ill be entering in the fair She spends most o f her spare time outside with her animals Her mount for the rodeo w ill he “ Happy Isle” a fourteen year old quarterhorse mare Her family raised the N>rse and her dad bn>ke her to nde Her spare horse is "B um " a nine-year old gelding W hen asked what her favorite ex perience for the summer was, she replied that “ we haven’t been there yet " From her past experience as : r * • v -r * « V s *
